It's not bad is it? @Bosws87 post more!

Well you're a numpty. You think that having 120FPS as a console feature is comparable to having Virtual Reality as a console feature.... let, that, sink, the feck, in... Numpty. Enjoy your 120 FPS.
It’s just a bit embarrassing at this point, when you’re clear losers

120 FPS is absolutely class. 1st person shooters at 60fps feels horrendous to me now, especially on mnkb.

Just been out for a morning walk and went though a bit of woodland and there was a crowd of people gathered there and a murmur of excited muttering was cutting through the air and I thought “what the hell is going on here?”.

So I approached them, albeit cautiously, and it took a while before anyone even noticed I was there as they were all distracted by something. The first one that saw me was a tall man, probably in his late 70s if I had to guess, raised his arm and gestured for me to hurry over to them.

I’ve got to be honest, the excitement was infectious and I couldn’t help myself and found my legs carrying me over to the now ecstatic crowd. As soon as I reached them they all stopped and fell back into silence. Then a young girl appeared from the centre of the crowd carrying a phone. “You need to see this, it’s the final truth. The war is over”. As she passed me the phone, 30 or 40 faces beamed with anticipation, as if they were reliving the moment they first read this final truth through me, and it’s my honour to share it with you today:

Now its preference, i game at 450 fps on the main games i play so big frame drops are a huge issue i can tell when a game goes down to < 200 fps.

Its incredibly close between the two consoles in reality, people are too stuck on tflop numbers on paper which ain't the be all and end all in reality.

Nothing like the PS4 Pro and One X the gap was huge, Sony just had the better software library as the tech gap was massive (same applies on the original consoles the One was a piece of crap)

My initial point was currently you have one console with Demons Souls, Returnal, Spiderman Miles Morales and Ratchet around the corner.

The other console has The Medium (trash) and that's it the rest are shared third party titles or back compatibility games.

Take away silly favouritism to a piece of hardware and in it's current state their is only one next gen console to own right now.

Jesus this is still going? It was only fun when Bojan was arsing around in here

there still isn’t a single PS5 exclusive I’d willing pay for if I’m honest as well. Still too early to jump onto any imo. But with my mates on Xbox, there is still no bit in me that is excited about a PS5. I was PlayStation up until PS3.

That’s fair enough mate, each to their own, both consoles are class tbf and if I was a rich man I’d happily have both.

As far as list wars go be done good there.

Fair enough, obviously I'm too lazy to watch, so I'll just concede.... *Crying*

Don't give in most of them are just PS4 pro games running on PS5 as i've said multiple times the backwards compatibility method on Xbox is miles better then the PS5.

If your main win of your next gen console is playing last gen games emulated that's an issue in itself.

Imagine thinking the popular choice is the correct one.

When it comes to games consoles it is.

More sales = more publishers wanting to make games for your console, more concurrent players for multiplayer, better 3rd party support etc.

Just look at the affect massive sales number have had for the Switch. Publishers have been rushing to get their games on to it as a result.

Do Sony even have more publishers? Multiplayer is mostly crossplay now, apart from exclusives, and we all know Sony love a single player game, so that's moot. And I'm open to an example of better 3rd party support?

The more something sells, the more companies will prioritise accessories for it.

It's simple enough logic, if something sells way more than another thing, it will generally end up getting better support. Microsoft should know all about it from Windows Phone.

Like what? Expandable storage?

Just means the Sony platform will become the lead console for development which will then see it ported to Xbox which means you will get inferior running 3rd party games (which is the only thing people are still trying to cling on to in this thread)

ps. Team ICO produced 3 games in 20 years, granted two of them were brilliant but the output is no big loss

But it's already available on Xbox?
Sony haven't made it available yet mate, manufacturers can't make the expandable storage without the tech to do it. Honestly veeva I thought you had a bit more brains than this, I need to revisit the way I speak to you!

But it's already available on Xbox?

Which is ironic because there isn't anything I can't get on older consoles worth having on the Xbox.

In all seriousness, both of these will be extremely successful and which Microsoft recent acquisitions the time to see is in a few years when the Xbox should have a better exclusive library. At present there isn't a massive reason to go out and buy either, if a consumer is making a choice for now. The PS5 is the obvious winner due to more and better games.

Gamepads is great but when people on here are posting that Crysis Remastered is a reason to buy an Xbox because it runs better than on the PS5 I fear all objectivity has been lost.

Games are hard to make and take lots of time...even more so for great ones. High output means yearly updates with minor differences...granted The Last Guardian took forever but it’s hugely important to get games like Ico and Shadow, even if they’re only twice a decade.

So there's less third party support? I mean these were your points and so far they're all pure bollocks. Even once you can actually buy stuff for Sony, what exactly do you entail being available on PS5 over Xbox in terms of third party support? Hopefully some controllers I guess

Why isn't it already then? Why isn't everything running better on PS5? Sony has led sales for a long time.

Controllers, charging docks, headsets, stands, controller grips. There's loads. And publishers will simply prioritise performance on the console with the bigger sales, it's common sense, you see it everywhere, it's why Apple products tend to have far more 3rd party accessories than other manufacturers.

It's not bollox though is it? MS has one single expansion drive, the official Seagate one. They haven't even made theirs available to other manufacturers to make the cost competitive  It's half the price of the console!
