I am more talking about that. What countless promises? MS never had the amount of studios they had back then. I told you they had 6 or 7 and were scaling back. Sony in comparison had 13 back then. MS were focusing on the wrong things like Kinect and TV. That’s all gone now. They going to have tons of exclusives now with their recent acquisitions. That’s a guarantee. Whether they good or bad remains to be seen.
As far as i can remember when i had my 360 and Gears was the best thing since sliced bread people have been forever wanting those exclusive games and it was to be a focus in the future.
I had no problem with the beginning they bought up 3rd party exclusives to get a foothold as they were new to the market had great success with the 360 then threw it all away with the Xbox one which we should be able to all agree was complete trash and a disaster.
We all know games take longer then ever to develop the blockbusters even longer, if they pull it off and there's some excellent original titles its only a success for all of us that enjoy games.
They even hit a couple of gems along the way, Lost Odyssey what an excellent game that was, blue dragon (i think) JRPG's being my favourite genre i remember clearly the push towards japanese games in the 360 era.
the acquirement of all the studios clearly points to the fact they know this is their weak point.
edit:
Acting like i don't know Sony were a disaster at one point too, i bought a ps3 on launch for whatever disgusting price that was back then (£600?) i was literally sold the dream that i bought a console with a super computer inside it (cell processor) claims such as it didn't need a gpu the cell was that powerful the spu's could do everything.
In reality i couldn't even open up the XMB in-game for what a few years, i couldn't have a private party with any of my friends invites weren't universal they were game specific it was an absolute nightmare, they eventually won me around with top class games in the end of the ps3 lifecycle, but god damn was it a piece of overpriced crap on release.
