Protest at Old Trafford

Idiots!
Regardless of their reasons OT is private property. A peaceful organised protest outside the ground would have carried far more weight than this bollocks.
Green and gold campaign was peaceful and achieved nothing. This is the only way they will get the message across and they need to do similar for every home game.

They walked through a door and stood on the pitch for a while, they didn't burn the place down.

There will be a match on the pitch in an hour.

Thanks a bunch wankers. Ruin it for people that just want to see a football game.

I'm sure you can flick through Sky and find a different game to watch. If you support this club you'll understand why this is more important than one game.

The same people who are moaning about these protests are the same ones that moan that they have got nothing going on in their lives. They're afraid to be leaders and are nothing but sheep

What a ridiculous post. These twerps on the pitch are literally breaking the law, looking like a bunch of sheep whilst at it. Leaders? Wow, none of these are leaders of anything. They are just irrational deadbeats with nothing to lose, except the ability to go to the stadium after receiving their lifetime bans tomorrow. We’ll see if it was worth it then.

It's a "tactic" used to change laws, policies and to shine a light on social injustice. This is a protest primarily driven by United not winning anything of real relevance for the last 8 years. It'll be reported as news but when the rationale is provided ("Well, you see, the Glazers have only been making interest payments all along...") most people outside of the Greater Manchester area will chuckle and move on with their night/day.

I have nothing bad to say about the supporters who protested nor the ones who breached club grounds. This club is their livelihood and they're furious...have at it. But financially this game is being played at a level so far above their heads that it's ultimately a bit pointless.

I'm sorry but that's just outrageous; it's the Souness line. Dearie me. It is not about trophies; it's about the asset stripping of a club over fifteen years.

We damage the brand in the short term -- that will hurt the glazers much more than hashtags and petitions
I don't even think we will damage the brand. I think there is a lot of support across the UK abd Europe for fans who want parasitic owners booted to the curb. After the ESL farce, I imagine the PL, UEFA and FIFA will be watching with satisfaction from the sideline.

Two controversial questions;
1) If United had won rather than lost 3 of the first 4 games of the season, would this protest have taken place today?
2) If we were in 1956/7 would you have supported the FA and Football League when instructing United not to enter the European Cup.
If you can answer these questions honestly , you should see the hypocrisy of the current situation. United's owner in 1957 was replaced a year later by an even more despised owner/chairman than the Glazers. It didn't stop United creating one of the best football sides ever.

What is this?

If we can't take a stand when an owner treats the club like the Glazers have done, what's to stop the next owner taking even more out of the club?

Decision coming soon from Premier League
Man Utd v Liverpool (kick-off TBC)
The Premier League says the decision on whether the game will be played or not is due imminently.

BBC

If the fans did break a lock which needs to be replaced it will be the first money the Glazers have spent on Old Trafford since buying the club

Fecking idiots!

That’s really not true at all though.

Yeah, because the guys who went to Ed Woodward's home to threaten him got his instant stepping down?

Well done everyone involved. If I was over for the match I would have joined in. Fair play. And good that the kick off has been delayed, shake the foundations a bit.
I hope someone fit and proper makes a move to purchase the club now or the uk government helps to bring in the 50 + 1 rule to really put pressure on the Glazers.

Footage shows them throwing flares, smashing up cameras etc. No problem with the protest but the vandalism is the pathetic behaviour of the micro-dicked thugs who always hijack this stuff. Naive to think something like this can be peaceful and if they attack the team buses then its the players and the team who suffer not the owners. The Glazers won't stop counting their money long enough to even register it is happening.

Tbh there does seem to be some divide on here between United supporters who see the club as a cultural/social institution and others who see it as their weekly television show.

Not sure how I feel about this and we'll see what it ultimately achieves, but I refuse to criticise any of those fans out there today. Just hope no one gets hurt.

How predictable we have fans sorry consumers moaning because their entertainment is slightly delayed

99% of those in attendance today are generational United fans who fill terraces up and down the land - and further afield - wherever and whenever United play. Yet we have bleeding hearts here condemning their actions, the same people who have never set foot in Manchester before, let alone the ground. Go figure.

We have the best supporters in Britain, bar none. If any fanbase can eradicate a parasite, it’s ours. Well in, lads.

Completely agree.

I just wish that they’d not broken the cameras and stuff. The media will have a field day with that and paint the protest as something that it wasn’t for the overwhelming majority.

The whole football world is talking about how we want the glazers out though. Fantastic work by everyone who attended

feck the football game. How the feck can Jamie Carragher understand this & people on here don’t. feck my life, some of you deserve the Glazers.
