I can't help thinking there's more to this than meets the eye. Maybe a disciplinary issue or a falling out. Otherwise, why be evasive? Yes, he was open about Garnacho and Rashford but the transfer window was imminent/open and he had something he could do about it. Maybe he's been told not to publicise an issue in order to protect the value of a player he may wish to sell at the end of the season.
I think this is solely down to privacy mattes, and these things have become more strict lately. It just like if you are sick, your boss is not allowed to give any details about your illness.
Fair enough, maybe. Maybe it's part of an overall club goal to keep more info in-house.
Also, I felt Ruben looked the most weary/flat this week than I have ever seen him in a pre-match press conference for us. I can't help but find it worrying. Having said that, it could be a conscious, deliberate act to play down expectations (as he did in response to the youth players question) in order to set the stage for quite a radical rebuild next season.

If its like you think then he wouldn‘t need to bring it up unforced?
Maybe not, though it's easier to frame it quickly as an injury than be questioned on matchday when the player is out of the squad

Sounded a bit more positive today. Personally fed up to the back teeth with all the negativity around the club. Stopped watching all my usual youtube channels as they're latching onto every single negative thing they can find and discussing it to death.

Agree. Funnily enough the last 3 months I've felt a lot more engaged with the team than I have done in the last couple of years, not sure why. I make more of an effort to watch games live.
Yeah - I feel in some quarters there are definitely more daggers out since the whole Rashford business.
