Premier League Not So Festive Season

5th or 6th - does it matter?

I'd rather we finish 17th if it meant Liverpool didn't win the league.

Surely the Spurs result indicates teams below aren't really capable of stopping Liverpool even if they start dropping a few points. Man. City will likely concentrate more on CL this season as it's about time they won it.

Sorry for thinking you all still wanted to finish in the top 4 (to do that you first have to catch the 5th place team).

Since Liverpool is winning this, can they just make it about 5-1? Cut the goals difference for us a lot more.

You guys let this situation happen

Our greatest shame, relegation to League 1 is nothing compared to handing them the title.

Best team always wins though and so far at least they are clearly the best team. Sky Sports super computer said they were going to get 106 points.

Surely, Lichtensteiner has to be subbed. He is atrocious. Completely finished and can't play at this level. Complains far too much while being shit as well.

At this moment the likeliest scenario is we finish outside the top four AND Liverpool win the league.

Probably, but I meant if I was able to choose.

If Liverpool win the league we'll never hear the end of it. Their ex players and fans have been infiltrating the media for over 20 years for this exact reason.

Honestly more teams need to stand up to these cnuts, indeed they have a few brilliant individual players but they also have a lot of wack ones as well. They also rely on chemistry and momentum to carry them through a lot of matches and this is rarely challenged .

Tbh, it's fecking unforgivable given the position you were in around a month ago. For the money spent, questions have to be asked of St. Pep.

Buying a 34 year old back from Serie A, what could go wrong?

I think I'd rather finish outside the top four than see Liverpool win the league... It's such a conundrum.

I’d rather we just focus on us this season and I’d take top four if it meant Liverpool winning the league. Can’t be arsed seeing us in the Europa next season.

Missing out on CL football could effect us with potential signings etc. Just have to ride this out and hope Liverpool start dropping points but they have had so much luck this season and it doesn’t seem like it’s running out soon.

These Liverpool players (and their manager) should be tested for PE drugs.

We just don't want Liverpool to win the league. It is going to be unbearable.

It's football. It happens.

I had to witness Birmingham City winning a major trophy which I never expected in my lifetime and my world didn't end (if anything deep down I begrudingly said fair play for all their fans who'd followed them for 30-40 years and seen them do nothing).

How did you all cope in May 2005 when they won the Champions league? If anything I'd say Man. City winning all their titles since 2011 should hurt a little bit more.

That little squirrel just lets Mane stroll into the box and take a shot uncontested, what is he doing?

Well we have to catch the 4th place team to finish top 4, Chelsea's results are more important for that. Arsenal are bound to feck up some point as they usually do. Plus United are so far behind, all they can do is just focus on 1 game at a time.

Not sure how Spurs losing to a side lower than them indicates that sides lower than a particular side can't beat Liverpool or that it is about time they won but ok. Anyway it was always dependent on City.

They've been playing brilliantly tbf.
Just keep praying for the collapse !

No team has a divine right to win the PL. City were champions by a mile last year but it was never going to be a walk in the park two years running.

Arsenal in a nutshell - give you hope and feck it right up in no time.

We will be ahead of that shower in no time. On closer inspection, they look exactly the same as for the pay decade. Decent going forward and complete soft underbelly. Useless club.

I appreciate VVD is a very good defender but a thirty yard chip is now "Some pass that".

If these commentators saw Bonucci today they'd probably feint.

Depends on how many points he finishes with, coming 2nd with 93+ points I think he'll be sound, if he finishes with under 90 he might have a few questions to answer I think, under 85 and he'll be under severe scrutiny I think.

Well I hope your points record doesn't get smashed after only one season.

City winning is annoying, but the media is so Liverpool heavy it will stop we listening to the radio ever again.
