Premier League May 3-5

I can't believe I wanted City to win that. Ugh. Roll on the summer.

No way are you beating them on GD , itll be all on Villa and West Ham or nothing.

Yup. No way are they winning it on GD. City are likely to score quite a few at home as well, if they first get in a winning position.

I'm genuinely astonished at that club. The bitterness, the jealousy, the effort, the hatred. To go into your last home game of a pretty good season, still with a mathematical chance of finishing fourth, and to then throw the game in that manner just beggars belief. I'd like to think everyone involved will sit down in a few weeks, look themselves in the mirror and feel immense shame.

We're second in the league. I wouldn't say it works that we'll for you.

As long as you dont win it, you could be 1.1 for all I care. We've been shite, as long as you dont win it, am absolutely fine with it.

The minute after the whistle went I immediately felt horrible for having supported City through that game.

City did what they needed to do after being hit by a wonderful goal. Good stuff.

2nd or 4th place means feck all difference. If you're not going to win the league, then there is no pride in coming 2nd. Might be different for someone who is not used to taste succeess, mind :)

We'll finish second in the league for the second time in 10 years. Get in!

I think Palace will beat Liverpool, actually and City will have the opportunity to win the league on Wednesday.

Not saying they can't beat us, but have you seen them since they were safe from going down? Barbados mode.

Unless Norwich win tomorrow, Villa will be mathematically safe by Wednesday as well.

Even if Norwich win, Villa know they are safe barring the most unlikely swing of gd.

Long way to go yet. I can see City bottling it at home in one of the games, they're puffing to the finish line.

All this Liverpool's "We're gonna do Newcastle and Palace by 10 goals" spiel reminds me of us saying the same thing against Swansea and Sunderland in 2012.

Liverpool aren't gonna score 10 more goals than Man City in their last 2 games

We've scored 4+ goals 11 times this year. We usually went into 2nd gear in those games. It's definitely possible we stick 7 or 8 past Newcastle.

Hope so. Thought Chelsea and Palace would be their toughest games. If they beat Palace, pressure on Citeh.

Top four all but sealed, as is relegation this week.

It is possible. It is also possible that you'll stick quite a few past Crystal Palace as well (I doubt it though).

You won't be doing that though while an equally high scoring team puts just 1 past two crap teams with nothing left to play for.

The problem Liverpool have got is that Palace and Newcastle will have to keep the scorelines respectable because they'd be accused of skullduggery if they didn't.

How many more months before the History Channel insignia is visible in the corner? :p

How does it feel that you might have pissed away the first Liverpool title since scousers first got colour TVs?

Personally I hope city win the league. Manuel pellegrini is a good manager and he holds himself with class and dignity and I have a lot of respect for him. I want him to win his first big trophy in Europe because I think he deserves it after the good work he has done at villareal and Malaga. It will be great to see one of the nice guys win in the end.
