Premier League Matchweek 5 16th-18th September

I'll calm down when the wheels of fate and justice finally align and you fecks get relegated like you so richly deserve.

Richly deserve? That's priceless coming from a supporter of sugar-daddy-funded club who don't make their own way in this world.

What a fecking shit loss. Liverpool have done absolutely nothing all game.

Enough of starting Matic AND Kante ffs.
If only you had Charly Musonda playing for you.

Indeed, oh the irony. Makes the win even sweeter.

still don't see the point of Rachel Riley

Easiest job in the world

turn up each Friday sit down, ask a few scripted questions, go home.

Such an utter pointless addition to the sky team.

She's the cool, calm, collected antithesis to Jeff Stelling's football-mad testosterone. If she wasn't there Stelling would end up humping Souness, Carragher, and Henry. Yes, in that order

She's beautiful to look at.
She's like those Italian ladies in their shows. They just sit there showing their legs and smile.
And you don't hear or see anything but them.
Mmmm.

I'll get my coat.

Yes, yes, we get it, you're gay. Good for you :)

Nah but seriously she's probably getting paid a crap ton for nothing, just let one of the girls already on SSN like Hayley mcqueen or kate abdo do it at least they actually know something about football or just let Jeff stelling front it himself, she's just an utterly pointless addition to an already overstaffed group.

The show doesn't need 2 presenters along with usually 3 ex players.

Oh the Lord of Three Point Lane decides to chime in.

Chelski have only gained 2 points from their last 3 visits to WHL combined. So your maths are dodgy as feck .... a bit like the finances of your gangster sugar daddy.

I'd much rather listen to the expert insight of Jamie Redknapp. Or possibly the Merse.

I've no idea why they employ 'Riley', really I haven't.

So that's 5 games gone for Liverpool and 4 have been away including Arsenal, Spurs, and Chelsea. They've been impressive so far barring the Burnley result and to be fair they perhaps should've taken all 3 points at Spurs as well.

Aww bless, someone's still sore about last season. Don't worry, you'll get another shot in 20 years or so. ;)

feck off.

(no offence)

 Chelski barely finished in the top half of the table ... and I'm sore?

Can't quite manage the Burnley's of this world though, eh?
It's a real crutch United fans are leaning on isn't it ? Hoping and praying that it was a precursor of what's to come (a la the last couple of seasons) rather than a blip on this season's radar.

And what if it's actually, under a new manager, some new players and new tactics, all coming together ? Even in that game Burnley scored two crackers from 3 shots. We failed even one from 80% possession and a gazillion shots, so a feck up, but not one where we were outplayed, just one of those games where the ball wouldn't go in the back of the net. United have had their fair share too in recent seasons.

We only have one Top 6 (from last season) game between now and Xmas, let's see how it stands then shall we ?

Results been impressive but if you look at performance they have been quite average to be honest. Really not impressed.

Liverpools's results?

The Arsenal match was like watching two punch drunk boxers going at each other. Liverpool just nicked it.
Spurs came back after Liverpool tired.
Chelsea came back too late.
Burnley showed how lesser sides should play against them.Absorb and counter when possible.
Liverpool's strategy is go up in the first 60 minutes and just hang on for the points. Not a bad idea.

Have to disagree tbh, feel they have started the season well. They play with a good tempo and attack very well, they have a lot of pace at their disposal.

Burnley result aside, they and City have looked the most impressive so far.
But it is a long way to go and as we have seen before, Liverpool do have a tendency to go on a bad spell and drop points.

It's going to be a fascinating season.

To be fair the only team that impressed me so far was City and they've been on a totally different level than Liverpool. The rest made me wonder why I pay money to watch. I really hope some teams can raise their level.

Yes. And as always you shall be way off the pace. When I say as always I can refer to about 24 of the previous 26 years...and 26 out of 26 ended in failure. It's hardly like the Burnley game was so long ago things might have changed. They will lose to some other lowly team in the distant future.

Only 3 unbeaten teams left in the Prem now: Man. City, Everton and Spurs.

:lol::lol:

Indeed

The PL has eclipsed itself. Not only is it the only league in the world where late goals are scored, teams miraculously come back after losing a goal and where 2-2 draws happen, it is now a league where the best teams in the league aren't of the required standard for the league.

Amazing.

They controlled the game and should have been out of sight.

Kante's up there as the most overrated player in the league. I know the stupid memes about how much of the earth he covers are funny but they're kinda redundant when he can't control or pass a ball.

I watched the first half and it was so one sided I literally couldn't be bothered to watch the second half.

Your posts are getting increasingly more pathetic. Are you not a grown man? Grow the feck up. I could not care less about Chelsea but you're a fecking child. Call them Chelski all you want, but you just make yourself look a right twat. Pull your head in.

Ah, what a result. I was worried about Henderson but that was a good performance by him.

Did I miss City winning the league? Let's calm down a bit. There's nothing wrong with saying "it's too early to tell" instead of "no one's going to threaten Guardiola's City". Well, you don't know that, it's been 4 games.
How about "City look the best team so far, but it's only September".

That is true, remember last season when City played 5 and won 5? I'll just savour this victory.

The real table will begin to take shape in december.Lets compare our dicks then.
I think it was a good performance by pool but these were teams that looked at similar level. I havent been impressed at all by Conte's chelsea at all. Liverpool look good compared to last season but nothing exceptional.
The only team that has looked like champions is City and they are on top of table . But again its too early and city always start very very well. A good start is great but it does not meam you always win the league.
I also think 2 teams that look sharp (city, liverpool) also have had the best preseasons. Which also plays a good part in this. Especially liverpool.
