Premier League Matchweek 3 August 27 - 28

This is the contact and it's clearly outside off the box.

Is it the point of contact or the point where the players actually is? Like, his left foot is in the box, and his right is outside, so he was technically in the box, does that mean he was fouled in the box? Or because the contact was outside the box, h was fouled outside the box, even though he was also in the box.

Yes he wants everyone to know how extremely passionate he is. Doesn't look fabricated at all.

He did that already when he was a 2nd league manager in Mainz over 10 years ago, and nobody gave a feck about him. That pathological desire of some people to read every fart he makes as "fabricated" is hilarious:lol:

Spurs' attackers haven't woken up this season. Ali looks woeful and Kane is starting very slowly. Very lacklustre. Also, they're really missing Dembele. He gives their genefic midfield personality.

Can't remember seeing Spurs playing this badly.
Like, ever?

I think the penalty scene is a minor mistake at most, I wouldn't blame the ref for it. By the time Firmino's feet connected and he tripped he was a couple of steps inside the box already, Mane deserved a second yellow there, but imho it's not uncommon at all for refs to be quite lenient that early into the game.

Add to that the Matip/Janssen situation where Janssen should have had a pentalty.

Really?
They both worked with their hands there and Janssen clearly wanted a pen so feckign much, if anything I would've given him a yellow for his efforts.

Point of contact.

I feel bad for actually wanting Spurs to lose against Liverpool. That is what happens when you read Glaston's posts for many years.

Never understood the hype about Dyer and Alli.

Kane has been woeful since the Chelsea match last year. I think it broke him.

How the feck has he not got a second yellow? WTF is going on?

Has Mane got nine lives?

How has he escaped a sending off yet again? He could be the non-psychotic Liverpool version of Costa.

Just realised Liverpool have played three consecutive league away games. How'd that happen?

http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/laws/football-11-11/law-14---the-penalty-kick

A penalty kick is awarded if a player commits a direct free kick offence inside their penalty area

The offence has to happen inside the penalty area.

That had to be his second yellow. I get that he didn't receive it the first time, but if you're that lenient once you have to be strict on the player's next incident..

Apparently you're not allowed to send mane off. Spurs also shoulf have had a pen earlier. Weirdo ref today.

OK, Liverpool might have had a couple of little breaks but they well deserve to have the lead.

edit - Mane done enough for 2 yellows now, definitely

The number of better players than Spurs' in each position in the league increases as the season goes on

Tottenham are awful. It's just like watching England at the EUROs.

This is what happens when refs give out shit yellows early on in the game - it becomes harder and harder to send players off for a second bookable offence. You pretty much have to scissor-kick a guy in two to get sent off.

nonsense mane is still on the pitch. Hope the ref doesn't get a game next week. Atrocious performance.

Pretty sure there must be some unwritten rule about being extra lenient to attackers. Costa gets away with shit every week and Mane could've been gone twice now.
