Premier League Matchweek 3 August 27 - 28

Did the people saying that wasn't a penalty actually watch a replay ?

Where is Dembele anyway? Injured? Don't recall him playing at the euros either

Stupidly got himself banned towards the end of last season.

Not too bad if Liverpool continue stealing points from the top4 candidates. You know they will stumble against the fodder and midtable teams anyways, so no real threat.

Spurs have been poor this season. Everton should have put the game to bed before the Lamela equalizer, in the first game.

Coutinho so fecking predictable. Always looking to cut in and shoot.

Henderson doing a good job in that holding role. Showing a good range of passing.

After a good start Spurs have been shocking. Barely capable of passing the ball.

Liverpool have no distractions this season to stretch their squad so writing them off would be silly.

Not sure what you are watching as he's been excellent so far in this match. After a horrendous start to the season.
He's been alright. It's Wijnaldum and Matip who have been the worst so far.

I'd say Liverpool are more of a top 4 candidate than Spurs this season.

Some things never change. Spurs are shite. Always were, always will be.

Yeah it does United and city a favour really, keeps the likes of Spurs and Arsenal away but then Liverpool will drop easy points too

Turned the TV on, saw the goal and pen incident, looked towards the ref - yep, Mike Dean. Was the penalty correctly awarded?

Edit: Never mind, from behind it looked like Dean. Oops.

It's Dean's dodgy half-speed clone, Madley.

Liverpool has been good but honestly Spurs has been so bad.

I'd much rather Liverpool take points off the better teams. You almost know Coutinho is going to do his hammy in training and they are going to bottle it against some lower table team.

Really wasn't a dive. Lamela's knee clipped Firmino's heel. That's enough to send you tumbling when you're mid-sprint.

Yup, it was pretty much what has happened to Shaw for me.

Only thing that I do wonder about and I'm not sure about is if he was clipped inside or outside of the box. Very small margin as Firmino then fell very deep inside.

Fun game this.

I can't remember seeing a boring Klopp-game when his opponent isn't completely parking the bus. I can't help but love his relentless attacking football. No opponent seems to get even the slightest bit of respect. There's no bus parking or endless passing. It's just attack after attack. Who cares if there's an occasional poor touch or stupid pass? The next chance will come in a few minutes anyways.

Maybe Pochettino won't join Real next season after all.
cpt knee jerk reporting in

Been saying from last season that Spurs are massively over-hyped. People saying the can challenge for the title.

Only chance they get top 4 is if Arsenal/Liverpool continue to be inconsistent.

If you're serious about title/top 4 challenging you should be controlling and pressuring this Liverpool midfield and defence with ease. Their strike force is so annoying though. It shouldn't work in reality but it does and Mane is a real quality player.

Man of the match: Madley.

Calls he has got right:
- Liverpool's penalty

Calls he has got wrong:
- Two other penalty decisions
- Mane sending off.

Lets not forget Liverpool beat Spurs 5-0 last season, and Spurs were playing well then.

Spurs have crumbled, couldn't do shit in the last 20-25 minutes.

Is redcafe really slow today or have I got to give my router a damn good thrashing?
