Premier League Matchweek 3 (26-27 August)

Bournemouth are dead. They better finish this half with this result or they'll get embarrassed in second half.

Wonder how long it will be before Eddie Howe gets questioned? Next England manager? A long way off.
If they're looking English managers he's not a long way off. He's managing Bournemouth. Where would you expect a different manager to take them?

Would disagree, as a neutral and venture on different forums and reddit only United fans seem to directly compare Rashford to world's best talents.

Most other fans see him as a great, but not world class talent, just yet.

Yes I would agree with that thinking.

Jesus looks fantastic, far and above Rashers' ability.

He did well last season. He will need to show his mettle this season to make sure they stay up. Think they will because there will likely be three worse sides. Don't think he can do much more to be fair.

Bournemouth started really well, but like other teams that have scored first against City, conceded a scrappy goal and since then it's been all City. They have no one to blame but themselves for sitting back and allowing City to come onto them like that.

And Defoe should've put them 2-0 up.

Howe is trying to do what Koeman did by playing 3 at the back with this formation. Problem is Defoe is a goal scorer but doesn't do the necessary movement that Lewis was doing last week. Bournemouth aren't stretching City's defense and getting players out of position, they're just hoofing upfield.

Can't see Bournemouth taking anything from the game. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong.

And what separates a great to a world class talent? Your arbitrary belief?

I don't understand De Bruyne in CM.

Those of us who thought he'd be good City coverage in our fantasy footy teams certainly don't! Not that we want City to score more, but you know!

I think Bournemouth could be in trouble this year. They're in that position where they're finally spending some cash to progress but it can go horribly wrong if they don't sign the right players. Ake looks a disaster waiting to happen and any team with Mings in their defence is going to have problems. He's done a pretty good job to get them this far though.

Bournemouth is really clueless when it comes to defending, such a great coaching there.

Terrible first 20 minutes and great last 25 when we found some confidence. Plus points are definitely Silva, Silva, Mendy and Danilo. Huge negative in Otamendi being so easy to skin again today. Can have no complaints about the B'Mouth goal, came when they deserved it and a beauty.

Ref has been quite good too, maybe could have given a red on Ake but I think a yellow was fair enough.
Still not convinced about our defending without a 3rd CB or another actual CM. Maybe Gundogan will help in that regard.

Bournemouth need to ditch the 3 at the back and go 4-5-1

Mendy is so good going forward, he's been the difference maker to the City side to that which played the first 2 games

Going to be a tough watch in the second half. Just hope Bournemouth can find a best display of season type outing.

Each time Bournemouth tried to attack they looked dangerous. Midtable English clubs really should change the tactic of scoring goal then complete the rest of the game defending till they concede 3 or 4 goals and lose.

With this rate it'll be a very easy win for City. The first half ending with a draw is a miracle itself.

When i watch this City, i'm constantly reminded of the our Match against Fulham under Moyes with 81 crosses. Is any one counting city's?

Bernardo should've passed it to David Silva and it'd have been an easy goal.

Ake has really been awful for Bournemouth.

Very fair assessment.
