Premier League Matchweek 3 (26-27 August)

Remember when Arsenal fans said Rob Holding was one of the best defenders in the league and the next Tony Adams? Pepperidge farms remembers

They may as well go if they're not bothered. Put the under 23s in, can't be any worse than this.

It honestly doesn't matter who we have at the club when we've got this fraud in charge.

I actually agree about getting rid of them. If the players aren't playing for Wenger but Wenger is going nowhere then there really is only one solution

I think Claude could deliver us an amazing rant this evening. He seemed re-energised and fired up last week following the debacle against Stoke. Hopefully Ty is in the vicinity as well!

They wouldn't be incentivized to leave if the club is doing well in the league and CL and continues to buy quality players under a manager like Klopp. Ultimately, if Coutinho wants to move to Barca and they are willing to pay upwards of 140m for him, it would be incredibly irresponsible for Liverpool to not sell given what they could do with the money.
I can see both sides. I see where you're coming from as that is a hell of a lot of money for an unhappy player, but I see it from Liverpools POV too in that he could really help them this season and, even though it's a lot of money, in the current market, it's not a certainty to make up for the loss of such a player. Especially, as others have said, clubs would know that Liverpool were sitting on a mountain of cash and end up being even more unreasonable in terms of asking price.

I feel so sorry for Sanchez. His face on the bench was just like "What the hell did I come back for?" Come on Mourinho let's put in a bid before the end of the window.

We still had Ronaldo, so 7 or 8?
8 years it was. 8 years of the same average season every year. How is Wenger still in a job?

This performance today is probably worse than the 8-2 but they haven't been punished for it. So shite it's incredible.

Might make them a bit soft for big games but against the cannon fodder it could work.

It's nothing new. They played the same way all of last year with Lallana at the top of the triangle and Coutinho at left wing. They don't play Winjaldum, Can and Henderson in midfield if they can avoid it, it's too defensive.

Salah's arrival will merely cause a shuffle in attack and Lallana will drop to the bench.

:lol::lol: Arsene "give me a new contract" Wenger. He's totally lost this team.

Nah. These players love Arsene. Can you imagine the stress Mourinho, Klopp or Pep would cause them during the week after such a non-performance? They´ll always do just enough against the bottomfeeders to stay in the cozy arms of Wenger.

Liverpool slowed the guns. Seems the match will end with this result.

Of course they'll go on and score now since I said this.
