Premier League Matchweek 3 (26-27 August)

Why on earth is Lacazette on the bench??

You mean the striker position? Welbeck is a better striker than Lacazette? What?
I think he means in terms or working back and helping the midfield in a game where the Scousers are bound to have more of the attacking

Everton are going to really struggle this season.

They aren't going to score enough goals and they also look a very slow team.

Beside the team being slow, it's strange how little Baines gets forward anymore. They seem to like recycling the ball to no end.

They tore apart the top 6 last season. They'll get a result today I imagine especially given how terrible Arsenal have defended lately.

Poch given the axe to Wanyama, not even on the bench.

He's withdrawn from international duty, which suggests instead that he's not fully fit.

Wenger trolling FF players.
Seriously, Welbz cannot be depended on to stick it in the back of the net. Does Wenger not see that?
I'm glad I'm not an Arsenal fan, seriously I'd go crazy.

After only 3 league games and 2 CL qualifiers? Karius hasn't played in the league since December, and his last competitive game was in the FA Cup against Wolves in January.

Too late. That happened 10 years ago...

Which he isn't better at either.

Don't shoot the messenger.

That said, depends which way you look at it.

Lacazette is a box player. He has good movement in and around the box, hence why he scores a lot of goals.

Welbeck, on the other hand, has very intelligent movement - unselfish movement, if you like, which often goes unnoticed and frees up space for his teammates.

Second choice in goal and Lacazette doesn't start. I'm pissed off and I don't support Arsenal, I can only imagine how irate some of them are seeing this!

Welbeck to shut people up with impeccable movement and never seen before assists. Goal might be a stretch but we'll see.

Welbeck to perform the role of beach ball today

Yeah, Lacazette has better direct movement in terms of a pure striker. Welbeck works the other spaces better, stretches defences. I'm not saying Welbeck is a better player or a better striker. He's in there for a reason though.

Honestly, if you'd offered me 4/7 points from those first three games considering we have had EL ties merged in between i would have gladly taken it. I'm worried about how we have performed today and in the second half of the City game however. Fatigue isn't an excuse for a complete lack of shape. It fecks me off when clubs go to the bigger teams and just try to not concede rather than play our normal game like we did in the first half against City. We shouldn't have bought Klaasen but bought a winger as 3 at the back just doesn't work with our players.

But only Wenger knows why

I like how this starts off resembling a joke post but you realise it's a serious one when "goals might be a stretch" appears.

I'd love to see Welbeck score against Liverpool though.

Hope Arsenal can get a result but think this will be easy for Liverpool. 3-1.
