Premier League Matchweek 3 (26-27 August)

What a disaster! Bournemouth were doing so well, then it all got so scrappy and they forgot all they had to do was defend and committed too many people to the little breakaways.

Absolutely gutting we had the chance to get 4 points ahead of them after a mere 3 games. Never mind.

At least Sterling got sent off. Little runt. Hoped Mendy would for his over the top celebrations.

Cheque from Abu Dhabi is in the post Dean

should be with you on Monday

Wow, bit bitter in here now. B'mouth brought that on themselves. They timewasted all throughout injury time. I expect we'll be getting a big fine and Raheem deserving the red for going into the crowd. Ref had a good game, could have sent Kompany off earlier (should have actually) and could have sent off Ake.

he added 5, which only started on 91 mins, and during the 5 mins, there was a lengthy 30 sec stoppage. perfectly legitimate.
It doesn't work like that. If he adds 5, it starts from the end of the 90, not whenever the sign goes up. Of course, the worst part was the foul he gave just before the goal, completely ridiculous. If that was supposed to be bringing the play back after an earlier foul, that was extremely generous to say the least. This was a bizarre and disturbing officiating performance.

That was hilarious, laters Stirling! Josh King is such a ball bag, why did he not pass??

City beating Bournemouth isn't exactly a shock, however the jammy nature is most annoying.

Gutting for Bournemouth! Lucky, lucky City but not convinced by them at all. They're going to have to do a lot better than that. #PeptheFraud

After City scored, Gaurdiola straight up taunted Howe, sheer lack of class.

very early days, and i never usually do this but city do not look impressive. I really think Pep is bang overrated

He's under huge mounting pressure, you can see it from his weird demeanour v Everton and today.
They'll need to get a lot better against even remotely decent teams.

Shouldn't have been added 5 mins imo
That's a point we can discuss but with the 5 minutes added I don't think what he did was out of the world considering we really did miss the whole first minute because of the manager thing.

It wasn't said in the context that we should buy him. Just a standard tamping down of knee-jerk assessments after a mere 2 appearances in a new league, country, language etc. Wait until he's played at least 6 months before evaluating how good he is at City.

That still doesn't take away what was said by @Red Devil 26, though. Even when Silva is used to the league and hits top form, he still wouldn't offer anything a lot different to what we've currently got.

Bournemouth didn't deserve to lose.

Mike Dean the star of the show again.

When will this joke of a ref stop referring game in the premier league is beyond me. Worst ref in the league by a mile.

Tbf there was a thing with Howie and Guardiola going on for 1 minute in added time and also one injury after that.

But on the other hand there was no foul on half line.

That 7 minutes is fine given B'Mouths time wasting in injury time.
Have to agree as much as I didn't want it.

Those showing this lot sympathy should remember the shit they pulled at Old Trafford last season; time wasting and downright cheating. Feck em and that Thuderbirds puppet of a manager of theirs

City don't look too good at the moment. They'll struggle if they keep playing like this.

Never 7 minutes....more like 5 and scored within the allotted extra time

In all fairness, the match had long interruptions in extra time. It says a minimum of 5 added minutes.

Let's not forget that Ake should've been sent off quite early in the game.

he added 5, which only started on 91 mins, and during the 5 mins, there was a lengthy 30 sec stoppage. perfectly legitimate.

The 5 was to start after 90 in fairness.

Bournemouth were doing a lot of time wasting break up the play tactics though.

People whinging about 7 mins:

Pep arguing with the officials and opposition manager cost 60 seconds
Two injuries in stoppage time at least another 90 seconds.

It was easily justifiable but feck all that money spent and City still look like dog shit :)

Joke of a match tbh. City are a dirty side aren't they? So many sly kicks and fouls they seem to get away with. Not to mention the constant whinging and diving.

Bournemouth have nobody to blame but themselves. King had two chances to win it had ye played the right ball. The seven minutes was no problem imo. There was two long stoppages in stoppage time including Afobe injury. Feck it would have been nice for City to drop points again tho.

Feck the time. City shouldn't have had a free kick on the half way line that started the move

Never a foul on the half way line either

Did he definitely give a foul for that? If so, ludicrous. I thought it might've been pulling back play for the really obvious foul before that. It seemed like a pretty long delay so it wouldn't be a good decision either...but at least vaguely understandable.

Shame City scored again, the referee should have let Bournemouth get the ball and move forward right before City second goal...

I think Mike Dean just earned his degrading to the Championship for a consecutive season.

Must admit I am really struggling to see Pep's genius.

Perhaps another billion plus Messi and it will be clearer.
