Premier League Matchweek 3 (26-27 August)

City have £140m worth of defenders not starting today. They really should be pissing this league the amount of money they've spent.

Bournemouth 0:4 Manchester City
Crystal Palace
2:0 Swansea City
Newcastle United 1:2 West Ham United
Watford 1:0 Brighton & Hove Albion
Huddersfield Town 2:1 Southampton

If football was that simple would it not make sense for Wenger to get the chequebook out?

I don't understand how Jesus starts over Aguero if it's choice between the two. Although Aguero isn't the player he was before, he is still the best striker at the club and City have been relying on his goals every season. Pep dropped him last season but quickly realised that the team was in trouble because if you take Aguero out, the front line is too inexperienced. I'm surprised that he's done it again and you'll see Aguero score 30+ goals again if he stays fit I'm sure.

Palace have been shite so they don't fill me with confidence that they'll win.

Erm, it's blatantly obvious that it would make sense for Wenger to get the chequebook out.

With the WC around the corner, won't surprise me if Aguero kicks up a fuss in January.

I hope Benjamin Mendy scores an own goal. He's worked hard for it and really deserves it.

SkySports, Quality so high they know the number 8 is bigger than the number 8, or maybe they dont.....

DEFOE RARING TO GO

He starts and he loves playing Manchester City.

The striker has bagged nine goals in 24 career v City (8 in 23 PL) - only Alan Shearer (11) and Wayne Rooney (8) have scored more in the PL.

Even as a City fan after all his tweeting it would be hilarious, hopefully its 0-5 when it happens though.

We spend money, commentators and pundits - "United throwing money to fix their problems" . City spends triple of that amount, not a single word with negative vibe about it.

That City team looks very promising. Probably 3 years away from their prime but potentially could go on a tear in the league if things click.

Hehe. Good player, but has given the impression of being a bit of a bellend. Do you agree? :)

A sensible line-up from Pep.

While this City team have a wealth of attacking talent that you'd expect a near 100 goal season from at their highest potential, they do seem to bottle chances in front of goal in a very United-esque manner (last season) at times. Pep's raised the issue before.

Otamendi is a twat and should start every match with a yellow card.

Without a doubt, the bullet header was way out of line. I can forgive the Batshuayi one as they are friends appearantly but the first one was just arrogant. Everytime City do anything remotely arrogant it pisses me off and always comes back to haunt us.
