Premier League Matchweek 3 (26-27 August)

That won't change his style of play, though. We know what type of player he is - very similar to what Mata gives us, albeit Silva being a bit more energetic off the ball.

We need more of a direct player on the right as a different alternative to Mata.

It wasn't said in the context that we should buy him. Just a standard tamping down of knee-jerk assessments after a mere 2 appearances in a new league, country, language etc. Wait until he's played at least 6 months before evaluating how good he is at City.

Haha, Dean fecked up Bournemouth's counter os he let King feck up Otamendi:lol:

"If Rashford can work on his finishing....."

Do we have any documented cases of a player who became a better finisher after they were 19?

My understanding is that developing as a finisher has as much to do with the mental aspect as it does the technical. Composure, technique and such ought to be pretty much part of that player at Rashford's age, rather than something likely to be developed significantly in their 20's. That's why the comparison to Jesus is valid, because Jesus had these traits at Rashford's current age and earlier.

Rooney. RvP. Just to name the two here.

Lol, Dean came in the way and made Bournemouth concede possession to City. So he decided not to call the foul on Otamendi.

Another game where we're making it too hard on ourselves. Letting these teams get ahead of us just gives them a reason to park the bus. It'll be touch and go whether we break them down here.

Teams will not let you get behind them. They will cede the initiative if that guarantees a point.

The only solution is to put your chances away.

Given the amount of money Sky and BT pay them, it's an absolute joke that they let the FA/Premier League dictate which games they can and can't broadcast. Little wonder that streaming has become an issue for the game, not just the prices but simply the lack of legitimate options to see games basically forcing people to look elsewhere.

It is ridiculous. And that's not to mention the fact that we can't watch 3pm kicks offs. Which is ludicrous.

Oh god, is that tomorrow's 4pm match?
Liverpool vs. Arsenal is the 4pm game; Sky are showing WBA vs. Stoke at 1:30pm when Chelsea vs. Everton is also happening but isn't being broadcast

Pep giving the 4th ref another bollocking, how many can he give?

Thank feck Silva didn't hit the target here. Fecking Ake doing his best to hand the three points to City on a plate.

Aguero is gonna score a last min winner isn't he :nervous:

Ake has been fecking up all game. Miracle that City haven't capitalised on it so far.

Oh right, hadn't checked. I can imagine myself still watching it, knackered on the couch if I stay up to watch Mayweather.
