Premier League matchweek 2 (august 19th-21th)

Pretty nice that City, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all dropped points already.
Leicester at home next week for us with Liverpool facing Arsenal. Happy with that esp if we win.

Everton have themselves to blame. Far too defensive when they could have really gone and tried to kill the game off, but yet again, holding on for a 1-0 against a good team doesn't work. You only have to look at our record last season to see that (and we managed to do it against crap teams too).

When will they bloody learn.

I don't think it's as easy as that. I think most teams visiting the Etihad this season will be happy with a point.

On other side, Everton will be a crap team to watch this season. They have replaced goals fluidity with a defensive team whose players are very, very slow on moving and building the play.

I really enjoy watching our rivals drop points the same weekend we've won all three. City could have won easily but for solid defending and a top quality save, but I also said the same last season a bunch of times. That game was very similar to many games City played, they dominate the ball, create chances but not as many as they should and they give you one or two chances in a game to score.

I rate him highly but De Bruyne was very poor tonight.
I don't think he's as good as people make him out to be. If the game is physical he tends to go missing more often than not. B Silva did more than him in those last 15 minutes. He can play good passes and has a good cross on him but he isn't particularly strong or quick.

Why the feck didn't Everton even attempt to play football in the second half? And against ten men...

Gotta hand it to City though, they looked like scoring every time they went forward in the second half. Thank feck they couldn't win it.

Everton were bloody slow on the counter except Calvert lewin 2nd half or they could have killed City.

The subs from Koeman could have been better.

Sigurdsson added feck all and Klassen was poor too.

2 games into the season and every one of our main rivals have already dropped points. Brilliant.

Everton's response to going 1 man up was to bring on all their slowest players...

Can someone get a gif of Pep's frantic final whistle shenanigans

Because Everton was defending but left too much spaces between their defenders and their defenders were too slow, they're weren't compact enough in front of their goal, nothing to give City credit for.

Looking at the bench Everyone had lookman and Mirallas.

Both ideal for the counter.

Koeman made the wrong subs.

I know possession is a dirty word in England but it is pathetic how bad most PL sides are at keeping the ball.

You are playing with 11 men and already leading. You should be slowing play down and keeping me the ball. Make the team with a numerical disadvantage run and work hard to get it back. It is not a fecking hot potato. Fecking Everton.
