Premier League matchweek 2 (august 19th-21th)

Guardiola is a turd. It's his defence that needs investment but the tit wants to go out and buy more attackers.

They were both fair yellow cards. There's no contact on the first challenge but it's a dangerous tackle and in the second he looks at the player and tries to hit him instead of going for the ball. The foul for the second yellow is a very stupid thing to do

Won't they retrospectively be looking at that under the new rules for red cards and pens? Reckon the Everton player will be looking at a ban.

So sliding into the grass, hard, without making contact to the ball or player is bookable? How do teams field XI players until the final whistle?

They showed it again on halftime show, no contact and not bookable. Yeah, City have been hard done by the officiating no doubt but they've also been very poor in that final third + probably slightly unlucky with the post

Goalscorer Pep, sign a goalscorer

He clearly did catch Baines, it may have been slight, but Baines isn't rolling around for nothing.

Explain the last line? Sign a goalscorer? The top foreign goalscorer in Premier league history not enough?

Sterling on for Jesus.

Guardiola still arguing with Oliver. Of course thats okay because he's not Mourinho. His post-match comments should be interesting too.

Why? He was shoved over, there's no worries for the Everton player.

SIR alex is there, looks like the brown bag was personally delivered to the refree this time.

I'm not casually forgetting that. In the last 3 years we've one 1 league cup and in general we're pretty to watch, but toothless bar Aguero and poor in defence. Very Arsenal like, since Pellers took over and its continuing with Pep. I'm not saying sack the manager or anything but to say our general play doesn't remind me of them would be a lie and our finishing positions the last couple of seasons are reminiscent of them too.

To be fair, you were amazing under Mancini. Do you regret sacking him? Guess the question is do you think he could have rebuilt your ageing spine? From a United fans POV, teams like Liverpool, Arsenal and City that are poorly coached defensively aren't that worrisome with regards to challenging for the title because you'll always drop points because you concede too many.

It annoys me that Man City spent all the money on Bernado Silva for him to sit on their bench

So Pep used Sane as a wingback vs Girona, they conceded because of it and it was obviously a failed adaptation and he goes and does it again in the next Premier League game. I don't get it

SAF!

Jose and SAF there, Bluemoon goes into meltdown!:D

Have a word, its city, of course he deserved a second yellow. He should start every game on one yellow just for being kyle walker.

Also, Rooney properly hates city like any red should.

I do to an extent. No necessarily Mancini but Mancini and Cook built a strong and balanced squad. Good all over the pitch. Pellers and the Txiki have taken that apart and the only position we are stronger is attacking midfield. Pep has rectified that a bit but the squad still lacks balance.

I don't know whose responsible for recruitment and I have a feeling we'll get it right but atm...

You do understand the amount of defenders he has purchased since being there?
