Premier League matchweek 2 (august 19th-21th)

40 million keeper lets a goal in easy
50 million Centre back plays the scorer onside
50 Million Fullback gets sent off on Debut

What a fecking Revolutionary manager!

Ok. Time for pep to buy messi. And busquets. And pique. Aaaand maybe mbappe.
And then he will prove that he is a coaching genius

I feel zero empathy for City. This kind of crap happened to us last season whether it was were weren't getting calls or we got the silliest calls against us.

Typical, even our terrible ref decisions remind me of Arsenal. We're slowly turning into them but at least they win FA Cups.
Casually forgetting that you've won 2 PL titles as well as a number of Cups.

Jeez, what's with the sense of entitlement with you lot?

Funny this and great for us. I think the most pleasing thing for me is that City do really look like trash. Kind of like how we played under LVG. There is very little threat from them. Still they will probably step up in the second half. Although I see no indication that City will perform better this season at all. Aguero don't look good. So far we are pretty much the only top club that have impressed so far. Still a long season and we know that the teams will get going soon. Chelsea I fancy will soon find much better form and Spurs just need Kane to be back on fire to be fantastic again. It gives us good hope though that we can challenge for the title no doubt.

He doesn't have to catch him, it was a reckless challenge with excessive force, clear yellow.

So sliding into the grass, hard, without making contact to the ball or player is bookable? How do teams field XI players until the final whistle?

They showed it again on halftime show, no contact and not bookable. Yeah, City have been hard done by the officiating no doubt but they've also been very poor in that final third + probably slightly unlucky with the post

Goalscorer Pep, sign a goalscorer

A decent set of mid-table clubs - Spurs, City, Arsenal and Chelsea are 9th to 12th in the league, the relative strength of the Premier League

Poor Guardiola. A genius of such magnitude can't be expected to beat Everton before he's completed the purchases of Sanchez and Messi.

Can understand why Wilshere more than most would react to tackles like that. Spends all his time trying to get back to fitness.
EDIT: I don't mean that particular tackle. I mean all tackles in general.

Walker was stupid doing that minutes after being booked.

He's had a look and walked into him with his arms like a chicken, i.e. with his elbows out. That's not normal, unlike when you're jumping for a header. Whether contact is made or not is neither here nor there.

I can absolutely understand why he's sent him off for the yellow, though when you add the two challenges up it probably doesn't deserve a red. Unfortunately for Walker there's no orange card.

I really do love the Premier League. So entertaining, week in, week out.

Do have some sympathy for City though, I'd be livid if that happened at OT.

They will spend another 5 billion but always with the same results

Now they will go for Messi

I think it was the look over his shoulder then what might have looked like a raised arm. He didn't lead with it ofc but the ref may have seen it like that.

Walkers a idiot for doing that
Yeah possibly but a bit of common sense from the ref. If I'm going up for an aerial challenge in that situation I'd look to see where my man is and do the same thing. Just a pure accident that somehow he manages to shoulder bump the boy in the face.

Walker pretty unlucky. Don't think he even made contact with Baines on that first one and well the second he's clearly just gone in to shoulder bump the boy and some how caught him in the bonce.

No, missed Baines & missed the ball - replay was pretty clear. It was stupid from Walker, no doubt but he didn't catch him

It's a studs up challenge, means feck all if he makes contact or not. Actually had he made contact, he would have been off right then as his foot was off the ground.

Man, that pussy 4th official who sent Di Maria off but allowed Joe hart to have head sex with him had Pep right in his face and backed away twice, looking at him and just said "Pep" surprised. It was hilarious.

How is the second Walker foul not a yellow? He quite clearly looks behind him and swings his elbow.

Walker went studs up for the first yellow. Seen them given as straight red before. Then goes into the man without any attempt to go for the ball. It's soft but it's correct in my opinion.

The only thing laughable here is you jumping to conclusions based on the first two gameweeks.

Typical bitter English football fan that can't stand the genius of pep. Having the best midfielder of this generation behind Messi and unlimited funds does not mean you have it easy when managing! White text
