Premier League matchweek 2 (august 19th-21th)

Honestly think the refs need to crack down on those off the ball charges. Idiotic to do that on a yellow.

Casually forgetting that you've won 2 PL titles as well as a number of Cups.

Jeez, what's with the sense of entitlement with you lot?

I'm not casually forgetting that. In the last 3 years we've one 1 league cup and in general we're pretty to watch, but toothless bar Aguero and poor in defence. Very Arsenal like, since Pellers took over and its continuing with Pep. I'm not saying sack the manager or anything but to say our general play doesn't remind me of them would be a lie and our finishing positions the last couple of seasons are reminiscent of them too.

Rooney's 50th, 150th and 200th Premier League goals have all come against Man City. Conincidence? I think not.

Typical bitter English football fan that can't stand the genius of pep. Having the best midfielder of this generation behind Messi and unlimited funds does not mean you have it easy when managing! White text

I geniusly wrote some facebook status about how they'd spent £150m and ended up with Rooney and Calvert-Wossit up front and they'd be delighted with zero tonight.

Literally 60secs later, goal!
Delighted with my reverse jinx!

Now Walker off too!

Too good.

Don't ruck this up now Everton!

Still think City will get a point, at least parking the bus and going on the counter will be easier for Everton.

Baines is the most honest player i have ever seen. He would of caught him with the first one for him to be rolling around. Second was a terrible decision though. I fully expect one of Davies or Morgan to get sent off now.

If Everton are good on the counter then it could get real good at them.

Pep will throw everything at them leaving gaps in a disorganized fashion.

Completely forgot they have Siggurdson on the bench. Everton needs to come out giving zero fecks.

40 million keeper lets a goal in easy
50 million Centre back plays the scorer onside
50 Million Fullback gets sent off on Debut

What a fecking Revolutionary manager!

Linked with Jonny Evans too. That'd sort it

Didn't catch him but I think Baines really was scared of getting injured there. One touch in that idiotic tackle is potentially a leg breaker. After the foul it looked like he was just relieved to be okay.

Calvert looks quick so I think Everton will look for him on the outball, if Everton do score another he will be involved (probably)

City have played well with 10 men before. Not writing them off. If Everton go into their shell, it could still get ugly for them, City have so much quality going forward.

Regarding Walker.

The 2nd one has minimum contact but the attempted elbow is there. I think that's what it was, intent. He literally looked at the striker and tried to elbow him.

I have a feeling Everton are going to bottle it. Still possible City can win this. Chelsea showed the other week it's possible to score with 10 and then 9 men.

I know Walker looks at him but what's he done there to deserve a yellow?
From the refs point of view, Walker has a look and goes straight into the Everton player while the ball is still a long way away. It's a harsh booking, and I think any fan would argue against it if it happened against their team, but it not that ridiculous really.

That's what it looked like to me too - he rolled once and then looked relieved. That's a horrendous challenge if Walker does connect on top of his foot/shin. That's why I think a yellow is the right call - you don't actually need contact.

Everton spent 150m?

I would love to see Pep go down.
Of course I don't know him personally, but from players interviews (Zlatan, Eto etc), Pep seems to be rude and just simply has bad personality.
He can be a genius sometimes, but he is not a man, treating others like that.

Typical, even our terrible ref decisions remind me of Arsenal. We're slowly turning into them but at least they win FA Cups.

Slowly? You've spent 350m the last 2 seasons. Arsenal havent spent that in 15 years
