Premier League - Matchday 19

With City dropping off they are going about their job without too much pressure. That has a played a big part, imo.

Arsenal need to get their shit together and challenge them.

Salah's form has played a huge part so far, without him they wouldnt be anywhere near where they are.

I don’t think many people predicted City’s collapse (at least not until they were punished for the FFP stuff) but Arsenal should have been there to capitalise. It’s ridiculous that the season City are finally out of the way, that they start to drop and it’s deeply annoying that Liverpool are going to win the league because of it.
Tbh there is every bit that City regroup and win the title next season, especially if VVD/Salah's influence wanes.

Amazing how Liverpool are playing hardball with Salah, Trent and VVD.

If this was United they’d be given 10 year contracts on £500k a week.

Just cos our players can't fart without the media getting it doesn't mean better than clubs have the same circus.

They'll be crossing the i's and sorting the t's on another few years for all 3 of them

They know none of them are leaving - Liverpool are in a massive position of strength as no team comes close to them; they'll all renew, and largely on Liverpool's terms.

Completely different to ourselves sadly.

I'm hoping your assessment isn't based on this match alone. Literally the only West Ham player on the pitch who seems to be doing his job, and well.
He's been very average since coming to the PL, had an okay run of games at Fulham but not much beyond that. Fabianski on the decline is still miles better than him

Trent is gone. The friendship with Bellingham went opposite to what Liverpool hoped.

Fair enough.

I'm quite suprised at his performance today. From the number of missed chances, I'm guessing so is Salah.

I don’t want Liverpool to win but “because of it” is a stretch. They’re on 45 points from 18 games.

Last season, after 18 games, Arsenal were leading with 40 points. City, the eventual winners, were on 37 points.

At this pace, 2.5 PPG, they’d end up with 95 points. We haven’t seen that points total since the COVID season. Arsenal finished on 89 points last season. City on 91.

They’re on fire, regardless of how other teams are doing.

The cnuts.

West Ham players look like they are 4:0 up and don't want to get injured.

West ham are so bad this season. Terrible every time I’ve watched them….

Yet they beat us and are currently ahead of us in the table

They have some really good players like Kudus, Bowen, Paqueta... Soler is a Spanish international, too. Not sure why they refuse to run.

Who's this imposter disguised as Salah in 2nd half?

Only way I see them dropping, is if they fell of physically like last couple of seasons around April because they barely rotate and are playing at such high tempos.
This time though, the buffer they have over anyone else will help immensily, unlike previous years.
