Premier League - Matchday 18

Careful, you might ruffle the feathers of Ole romantics on here!
I do agree though
Nothing romantic about saying he did well to finish 3rd and 2nd with the squad he had. And his counter attacking style worked well, until he tried changing us to a more possession based team, and ultimately failed.

The guy has more non-penalty goals than anyone in the prem since he joined. If he's bad a finishing, everyone else is worse.
You guys create a lot, so I guess that's no great surprise. Surely you can agree he's not exactly clinical?

Nah, he did well given how he set the team up. But he deployed underdog tactics and he never looked capable of making the next step. Chelsea are playing superior football to Ole ball, they also have better players.

He scores a lot and misses a lot, like every good striker.
Not sure he's as clinical as top tier strikers but also not sure it's worth arguing about. I said he's very good at pretty much everything else, are you saying he's the perfect all-rounder?

Edit: Also, does he score 'a lot'?! He's not had a better season than one in two in his career to date has he?

United in 14th as things stand. Didn't have them and City out of the top six approaching half way when doing predictions at the beginning of the season.

I'd say he's an all-rounder as a striker for sure. He's quick, holds the ball up, gets assists, works hard and scores lots of goals.

Id agree with that. But you wouldn't say he's a perfect all-rounder (nothing to work on). So without wishing to labour the point, if you wanted one aspect of his game to improve, what would that be?

Silly dive by Neto. Weird he tracked back really well all game until now.

Sake Chelsea, never felt confident they'd be any sort of rival to Liverpool.

Liverpool are going to see this in with a 12-15 point win aren't they.

Defense is the main reason why Chelsea aren't a serious contender for the title.

Hahah, Neto trying an unsporting block, so happy to see the ref letting play go on. Serves him right.

He picks up far too many yellow cards. That's the obvious thing he can improve on.
Sure. But every time I watch him I think he's a pretty complete 9 but just needs to be more clinical. He misses at least one or two chances you'd expect a top class nine to score every game. But agreed he also gets booked too regularly.

Neto tries to foul Iwobi, gets ragdolled, and then rolls around on the floor holding his face like he was the one fouled wasting around 3 minutes of his own team's time! Pathetic.

People talk about Chelsea not having enough in defence to last at the top, but Palmer aside they don't have much in attack do they?
