Premier League Gameweek 37

Spurs are so open and the initial confidence seems to have burst a bit now. Plus their fans don’t really want them to win. Expect a big City win.

I don't think Spurs will roll over just because they want Arsenal to lose the league

I think Spurs will roll over because they're Spurs and that's what they do

Just checked in on Spuds FightingCock forum, only 26% want them to win tonight.
If they didn't have a shot at CL football I'd understand. Not a Londoner so just guessing that I'm underestimating the hatred.

Maybe they think the CL is a glorified FA Cup with music

At some stage that trend will be bucked and we will see a 5-0 demolishing.

The 5 goals would have to be on 0.01 xG to start to buck the trend

Arsenal 8

Let's hope it begins tonight! Need an early game to calm the nerves but I do feel that City, who have saved us from Liverpool winning the title so often, are eventually due to disappoint.

If anything, Spurs handing the title to Arsenal would be just about as Spurs as it gets. Arsenal fans won't let them forget for the next decade

I thought more people would want City to win the title as it means nothing tbh. It's better for you all that another challenger doesn't pip you to the post first.

Suppose whatever happens, happens. Arsenal cant really have any complaints if they don’t win the title. They’ve let themselves down by losing to villa. The worse thing ever is when you need to rely on another team bailing you out, especially when it’s your biggest rival.

Spurs have no hope with that midfield against city. Gonna get torn

Nerves kicking in now. We need to keep the trophy in the city where it belongs.

Do a poll of ST holders at Utd and 90% would want Arsenal to win the league over City.

This forum is very international, hence the disparity

Basically anyone who knows any Arsenal fans wants City to win. They are the worst fans I’ve ever come across by some margin.

Pretty much this. My views might have been different if I were from Manchester but I'm not and the Arsenal fans in my WhatsApp groups are already unbearable.

I just find it surprising with the charges hanging over City. Any title they win means zilch because it's likely to have massive asterisks against it. Also on the other front if Arsenal win a title then it means one more team you need to try and catch up and overthrow, more time they have without one the better.

I can assure you the blue half of my family are not arsed about some potential charges, nor does it make Sunday lunch at my Grans any easier as they dick us every year.

Get no enjoyment from Arsenal winning a title but equally don't care.

I remember when we won it for the first time in three years against that monster of a Chelsea side back in 06-07 and there was even a grudging respect from some of our rivals that we did it having only bought Michael Carrick that summer. It was just a good thing for football.

I feel the same for Arsenal. Yeah Arteta is smug and their fans can be irritating but there can be a respect for an excellent achievement that was built with hard work and great planning. A victory for Arsenal is a victory for football in my opinion. If only their fans weren't so annoying.

Will the league be decided tonight? If City win you'd expect them to beat West Ham last game of the season. If they don't you would expect Arsenal to beat Everton last game of the season.

Amazing City. Everytime I watch a City game they have no injuries at all while Tottenham have 8 players sidelined.

I don’t know why any United fan would want City to win. City winning doesn’t “mean nothing”, that’s just cope, quite frankly. Yeah they cheated but unless they get those titles struck off (they won’t), they’ll be chasing down our title record over the next couple of decades. I don’t like Arsenal but at least they’ve built a legit title-challenging side. It was one thing wanting them to stop Liverpool winning it, but it’s fecking tiresome now, season after season cheering on Man City. Feck them.

I don't see either City or Arsenal slipping up if they're ahead on the final day. Tonight the decider for sure.

Amen

Have a sneaky suspicion there will be a lot of disappointed Spurs fans tonight and they’re going to get a result…

I dunno, the record books will remember it differently.

That's fair and I do agree slightly.

I'd be surprised if they didn't get titles struck off if they were guilty.

There is an Arsenal fan at work who is insufferable. Any time we lose there waiting for me in a Teams message when I log on is a GIF of the crest of whatever team beat us along with a "did you watch the match?" type comment.

Was of course especially grating recently...

Despite that, still hope City don't eclipse us and win 4 in a row.

If they DO win the title, I know what I'll be doing on Teams at least :wenger:

Mustn't watch City much given KDB missed half the season (17 of 36 league matches). John Stones 9 games, Doku and Haaland both missed 5 in a row. Gvaridol missed the best part of a month. Nathan Ake is currently out with his 2nd injury in a month and even the goalkeeper missed games injured.

I cant see Spurs getting anything out this game. Id be very surprised if its not over at half time.

Only injury Man City currently have is Nathan Ake, what is their secret? luck, inhalers or some other drugs?

Stockpiling a full squad of players good enough to win the title. Hence being able to rest players when needed because the replacement is plenty good enough to keep winning.

That, or they just dope like their manager did.
