Premier League Gameweek 35-37 + FA Cup semis

How did Norwich beat City? Most bizarre result of the season for sure.

They're not open but at least they'll move players forward into our half at the bare minimum. The game itself will be far more open is my point, I'm not arguing that them two are more likely to leave huge gaps in their midfield the way we are.
Wolves are a glorified Burnley though. I really hate that side.

The bright side is that theres no way Chelsea will be getting 6 points from the next two games. I think they'll get only 1 point. So as long as we dont feck up we will end in top 4.

You’re gonna get twatted by the scousers, unless they lose on purpose to piss us off.

Conceded the most goals of any team in the top 10 I for one can see why people wonder.

Lower xGA than Liverpool, and we have the keeper with the worst save percentage in the history of the Premier League. Replace the goalkeeper, get in a proper left back, and see how it goes.

Norwich just got relegated and they were defending a 1-0 loss for some reason. And 'defending' is a generous term here. Couldn't connect a single pass, fresh subs not bothered to make a run. They look like they want to be done with football as soon as possible.

I hope they stay down for a couple of decades.

All very harsh, the difference between the clubs is buckets and buckets of money. Those top clubs are where they are because of money, the end.

Hey we have a keeper where nearly every shot on target is a goal !

I wonder if you will rest players for the semi final. You play thursday right ?

Thursday is more important than Sunday in my opinion

We should be focused on Leicester but if we win our next 2 I’m pretty certain we’ll be third come the final day. Chelsea are fortunate United and Leicester play each other the only concern they should have is if they lose to Liverpool and then GD comes into play.

Chelsea will be relatively fresh for us in the FA Cup come Sunday, but then have Liverpool I think only a couple of days after? Be interesting to see the teams that Ole and Lampard pick. I can't see either risking it and going full strength.

It's very possible that neither Chelsea nor Leicester pick up any more point this season, and the thing about us the last few months is that we've been consistent. We should really get 4th from here, and 3rd is definitely doable.

Judging by the match reports was a pretty shocking game. Be interesting to see Leicester against a Sheffield United team who are flying at the moment. You feel like there's still a performance left in Leicester yet.

Wolves won't play that way, and Liverpool are resolute enough defensively that they can handle anything your attack would throw at them, even if they were playing on the front foot.

You will either need to be very, very good to get more than 2 points out of those games, or very, very lucky.

Considering we already put 5 past Wolves at theirs without Kante I'm not sure they won't play that way, especially if they need 3 points.

We've also played Liverpool very well this year - lost 2-2 in the supercup on pens, lost 1-2 in the league, won 2-0 in the FA Cup. Pulisic and Willian are pacy enough to exploit the gaps behind their fullbacks. I'm not saying it's a guarantee but we have struggled more against teams sitting deep than we have against teams that actually attack us.

Weren't you also completely dismissive of our chances vs City?.

Ofcourse it will be a hard game and FW-IW i don't think we're winning but our recent record vs Liverpool demonstrates we will probably make a hell of a game of it at worst.

We absolutely must rest players in the semi-final. The FA Cup is pointless if we're too knackered to play West Ham and Leicester or God forbid pickup an injury to Martial or Bruno.

Knowing Ole, he'll still put out the strongest first XI and we'll pay the price for it.

You just made that up. Chelsea concede the second fewest shots in the league.
You’ve conceded 49 goals which is the worst in the top 10. Pretending that isn’t the case and that I’ve just made it up doesn’t make for a good discussion.

If it's down to GD we're screwed. Only chance was to make inroads vs. Norwich

Sorry, my bad. Even after quoting and reading again, I read goals as shots.

Anyway, it just highlights that their main issue surely is the goalkeeping position.

Chelsea looked just as knackered as we did last night, but managed to hold on for the win.
Probably helped by the fact they weren't playing the fittest team in the league and the team that they were playing couldn't string 3 passes together to save their lives

Yeah but the point is there is a gigantic and glaringly obvious problem - it's the guy having the worst season for his position in the history of the PL. Overhauling the entire defense makes little sense when again, we have a lower xGA than Liverpool.

No worries. I guess if the shots stat is true it’s more of a goalkeeping problem.

Don't think we conceded a shot all game. Norwich defended with 10 the whole time; was our lack of quality in the final third that held us back. And people wonder why we're investing in our attack!

Have you seen the xG for this game? 3.something vs 0.something. our attack is so tragic if Pulisic isn't firing on all cylinders.

Why couldn't you have scored more than one goal tonight and had to be right on half time to make it worse.

I could have stomached you winning 3 or 4 nil because at least then it wouldn't have looked close on the scoreline.

He is so far and away our best player at the moment. Despite the fact that he was relatively quiet today he was still so much more dangerous than anyone else.

Maybe, but I'm pretty certain Leicester are not winning another game this season. Not really bothered whether we finish 3rd or 4th.

You're preaching to the choir mate! That said, obviously football is a funny old game and a goal can come from out of the blue but today was perhaps the exception to the rule - Norwich never looked like scoring. They managed 2 shots, both of which were blocked. Literally nothing else. The game wasn't as close as the scoreline made it seem.

He was frustrating at times tonight, but we've essentially been Pulisic FC since he returned from injury. We get into so many decent positions. We just have no cutting edge, across the board, Pulisic aside.

Willian offered nothing today - did do well enough when called upon defensively, but absolutely nothing in terms of end product. Can't recall if he even had a single shot.

Seems as though the inescapable cycle has advanced and now we get Bad Willian again after a few weeks of Good Willian - pity as it was lovely while it lasted.

You two Chelsea fans have nothing to moan about tonight, stuck all the pressure back on us & Leicester again.
