Premier League Gameweek 3

Well it clearly isn't and wasn't a red. There was no force in it and no danger to KDB. He basically tripped him.

It's dangerous, just because he doesn't injure him, this time, doesn't matter. A tackle that endangers the safety of an opponent must be sanctioned as serious foul play.

studs weren’t showing it was the side of his foot and purely a dangling leg.

Side of his foot hit KdB left knee, studs were showing straight on to his inner right though.... it's not a yellow to me, but it's more clear and danagerous than loads that have been reds. So yeah, they've contradicted themselves and we'll be coming back to it loads over the season when other soft reds go ahead.

Which is why he goes down holding his knee in agony.

Actually the worst thing about this incident, is that from the footage there's no reason for the referee to overturn it. He must have been ordered to do it by VAR. That's violates the VAR protocol and is an error in applying the current the laws of the game.

What?????

Are you a City fan in disguise?

The way City move the ball and find space still gets to me. Incredible ball playing side.

No, I do however, understand the laws of the game.

Which is seemingly more than the referees and VAR officials in the league do.

I just want to see fair matches. Actually it ruins the sport for me as entertainment. When supposed pro officials can't even get the basics right.

not for me mate, football is a contact sport. Barely touched him but obviously enough to make him trip. TBH football needs an orange card for situations like this anyway (yellow + sin bin)

That's why you're posting on a United forum, after your team lost 3-0 to Leeds, and not working in Stockley Park

This game has aged Kyle Walker by about 3 years

It's really simple and my guess is the error will have to be admitted, again, very shortly.

No it really won't. It didn't look a red in real time and definitely wasn't on the replay. I've no idea how you're claiming it was dangerous. Both refs, the commentators and the majority of the thread disagree with you.

"Not for me" - I'm assuming we agree on the actual card it should be getting on old school perceptions..... but where his studs and his highness has recently (well as far back as like 10 years now) been a red in the 'modern game' when discussed in studios. If the actual football hasn't saved previous players from getting reds in previous knees, nor should incredibly luckily hitting the inside leg instead of the outside leg clearly with your studs.
