He might have thought Trippier properly caught KDB.Even the VAR doesn't think it's a red. This Aussie ref needs to feck off.

From first view it looked petty high and studs up and reckless I thought. Wasn't hugely surprised ref thought it was a red but the right decision made in the end.Nowhere near a red. Much worse challenges in other games don't get that. Refs supposed to let things go. Aussie ref didn't get the memo.
yeah you can see why he gave it, but in slow motion it’s clearly not as bad as first thoughtRef must have thought the studs went into the knee, not how it actually happened
Oddly, VAR made me think that actually might have been a red Purely because he's off his feet
Oi watch it. Not all US police officers are bad. Some do deserve respect. Stop generalizing.Eh? Was there any reason to get his cock, I mean red card, out in the first place? Refs deserve as much respect as US police officers.
studs weren’t showing it was the side of his foot and purely a dangling leg.Seen a shed load of red cards worse than that, precedent set, no more soft reds due to high foot/studs showing. Game over.
Yeah but feck the policeOi watch it. Not all US police officers are bad. Some do deserve respect. Stop generalizing.
Has Pep not heard of a sub?
Wasn't it Carragher who said when the ref is called to go view the screen it's already basically been overturned but they are showing the ref why
Ake came off injured in the first halfHas Pep not heard of a sub?
A closet city supporter maybe.
They'll very likely win one tomorrow. So if City lose, that's a mere 1 point difference.
No idea what on earth this bolded bit means?
I don't mind the red. Trippier was way too slow for a normal tactical foul and had to jump in. Once you jump in with both food off ground, I don't mind the player getting send off. In this situation it wasn't super dangerous, but Trippier has no control at all how he hits KdB.
That's not what makes a red. It wasn't a dangerous or reckless tackle.
You're American?Oi watch it. Not all US police officers are bad. Some do deserve respect. Stop generalizing.
Never, he taps him with the top of his foot.Off the ground and knee high, studs showing? Not reckless or dangerous.
I swear when the referee was looking at the monitor he was going to be, WTF has this even been reviewed?
It's a red 8 days a week.
I'm jealous of any team that has players working their arse off. Makes me realise just how lazy our lot areAlmiron's workrate must be as good as Ji Sung's.
Well clearly not when most people think it's a yellow.Off the ground and knee high, studs showing? Not reckless or dangerous.

no contact with studs is exactly why it was a yellow. zero force or impact to hurt KDB, purely a trip at speed.
yes it was a touch high but that isn’t really important in context
What a shite pass. Pope to the rescue again
