Premier League Gameweek 29

I'm wondering what's happened to Aguero. Just seemed to have lost his confidence

Its the new way he has to play. Most here will disagree but he's completely changed his game. 7 goals in his last 7 games, 25 for the season. He's had to adapt to both his hamstrings and Pep, he now drops deeps and spreads play than tries to get on the end of cut backs. Its clearly tactical.

Might have something to do with Guardiola not fancying him too much. Wasn't there talk of Guardiola not being happy with him earlier in the season?

Nothing wrong with pointing out his levels have dropped, which they obviously have. I love that baldy cant get the best out of him.
Nothing wrong with it you're 100% correct, but the overreaction by some (not all for sure, some very good posters on this forum) are amazing, people actually call this guy done, they call for him to be sold? I don't get that, he's still a star and will pick his game up, a lot of people forget he is being used in a different system to what he had previously been used in, takes time adjusting. On top of all else his form over the last few games definitely show he still has class. Really wish we pulled out the stops for him when he was at Atletico.

Having said that...he did still score......
I know, but those misses he had... I just always associate Aguero with clinical finishing.

Only 1 game in hand on City
Yep, I know that. If we can win it, and the other game then we're third. It is a big if though, considering that Mourinnho shits himself in big matches and goes ultra defensive.

Take a point all day long. Good result.
If I was a City fan I'd be kinda pissed right now. Had so many chances to score. We just had that Lallana one.

Hopefully United and Arsenal with their tough fixtures will drop points

great game. Liverpool going forward are a joy to watch. If they could sort their defence out over the summer they will challenge next season. Toure was a disgrace,he is fatter than me

Ok fair enough, but don't you think he's lost a bit of his sharpness in front of goal? Or maybe he's just having a bad day I guess..

Yeh just look at how many he's scored this season. Not as good as he was but still better than most. Every side would still want him.

I love Wijnaldum. He is everything I thought he wouldn't be.

He might not be on his best form, but 13 goals in 16 EPL starts (5 subs) and 5 goals in 6 UCL matches is a pretty good scoring rate. He's clearly not the problem at Man. City.

You can understand why given the match we just saw between city and pool. Both teams were ridiculously open. It could have finished 3-3.

The only person to miss more than Liverpool and City today is David Lingmerth, who is trying to shoot a 90 at the Arnold Palmer Classic.

Firmino  Gives Jones a run for his money

The City game is well down the line, let's see if we can beat West Brom and Everton at home first.
I think we've won about 5 from 13 at home, so it's no given.

This is the most wasteful I've seen him since he's come to the league, I think. He still knows how to get into great positions, but he used to be ice cold with finishing the sort of big chances he had in this game. Has to be a confidence / form issue.

James Milner in the post-match interview: "A point is definitely better than a defeat going into the international break."

Earth-shattering insight there.

He's always missed a few, its just he gets in so many good positions alot. His conversion rate is about the same. He just doesn't look as good because he's had to drop alot of the explosiveness from his game. I suppose that could be seen as a decline but having him available and fit for 30 odd league games is much better than an explosive Kun who misses 20 games through injury.

On course to break 30 goals in a season for only the 3rd time in 6 seasons at City.

No you did not "just" have the lallana one. The lallana one was criminal. He should go to jail for that

Excellent game. Don't understand the criticism of poor defense... Both teams wanted 3 points and went for it. Actually refreshing to see that.

Poor finishing was the undoing of both sides. Oliver is an eejit (autocorrect preferred I use error, which is also apt).

The young and spritely Yaya is the only defensive mid ahead of Stones and Otamendi? Wow! I'll still settle for a draw though.

Phew. Had a feeling it was going to be a draw and thankfully it was no worse than that. City played very un-City like and dug deep.

happens from time to time. Saw his reaction he knew he messed up. I won't be too harsh with him.

As I say. We're happy with the point. Especially bearing in mind the fixtures of you and Arsenal.

Not the worst result for you, but considering you are struggling against deep sitting teams, of which you have a lot to play against, I wouldn't be too sure at all about getting into top 4

I still don´t get why Klopp brings on Origi for Coutinho. Was Origi involved in one success full counterattack. He does not make a single contribution to a counterattack. It´s always Lallana, Firmino and Mane, cause Origi cannot protect a ball, he cannot pass a ball, he cannot dribble a ball. He´s basically fast. And since we all know counterattack = fast player, he comes on. It´s so simple-minded, you´d think Klopp was an English manager.

Liverpool have their easy games out of the way. Now hopefully they'll begin to drop points in their tough games.

This is real problem. The flippin weaker teams.

I dunno how but we gotta sort that out quick.

Being completely honest what do you think will be the result from your games against
City
Arsenal
Tottenham
Chelsea
Everton
??

I love Wijnaldum. He is everything I thought he wouldn't be.

Yep, he's been very good. Fantastic at keeping the ball in tight spaces and drawing fouls. Hopefully he can kick on and add a few more goals now.
