Premier League Gameweek 23 (13th - 15th Jan 2018)

Well played 'pool, probably deserved it on those stupid 10 mins where we got punished by decent forwards

Better team won, no complaints (well a few actually but mostly at my own team). We gifted them 3 goals, they gifted us 3 goals. Ederson and Stones had shockers.

Well played Liverpool, will be insteresting to see how we bounce back. Enjoy @Klopper76 & co. your boys were too good today.

Liverpool doing a Liverpool.

Anyway . I told you all about a month ago if we attack them we'd beat them. I even said it this morning. City don't like being attacked.

So... take that you Blue Manc bastards and feck off back down the East Lancs.

That was a right laugh.

Hope City don't panic and throw cash at Sanchez, though they weren't really missing a Sanchez today. They look a bit lost without Silva more than anything.

Man must admit I'm jealous of Liverpool's attack. Mane and Salah on the wings and we'd win the league.

You could field a 22 man combined City-Liverpool team and they'd still concede.

That was probably for the best, wasn't it?

And you just know Liverpool will lose some bog standard game in the coming weeks.

Agreed. You gotta look at the bigger picture. We just need a cup exit now to put the quad talk to bed too.

Great game you have to say. Nice to see City lose their unbeaten run. Shows both of their strengths and weaknesses. Both great going forward, both can be a mess defensively and need to strengthen back there noth individual wise and probably tactics wise (for pool).

Typical stupid fans on here celebrating a Liverpool win. It's way more likely Liverpool will catch us than we catch City.

Ugh. The media will continue to bang on about Arsenal's "invincibles" who failed in all other competitions and don't even hold a points record.

It's mainly the system they're in I think. I doubt they'd be as productive in our team (not to take anything away from how good they are though).

Gotta love the Premier League, a world ahead of anything else in football. There's just so many combinations of games capable of bringing this level of excitement.
Whilst I've always held the same opinion, I think these past few years City-Liverpool have constantly had the most entertaining games in the league; more so than any other in the PL.

We'd only have ourselves to blame if they do.

Exciting game, many mistakes but the high pace of the game and intense pressuring by both sides will simply cause many mistakes. Good watch

Dont know about that, they would look great for few games and then melt into our clueless out of idea shape in final 3rd.

City unbeaten run ended. Ederson and City defense had an absolute mare.
Liverpool again clowns defensively.
All good.

Messed up game. Liverpool score four goals, but none of then are from great, open play. All big gaffes from City’s players, all goals that should reasonably expected to be avoided. First goal is a weak shot from distance, second is a gaffe from Stones (and probably free-kick), third is a mistake from Otamendi and the fourth is again the goalkeeper creating something out of nothing.

It was as if Aguero was non-existent. Jesus walks back into this side as soon as he is fit. Sanchez would probably replace Sterling today, City looked much better once he was replaced with B Silva.

Fantastic result for us. City no longer have that invincible record to give them that extra push in their matches. They're definitely going to lose more games this season.

A win tomorrow and we're only twelve points behind. And if we add Sanchez to the squad, then we're well in this.

The Firminho, Mane and Salah goals were very well taken though regardless.
