Ironically, Spurs have been shite on the counter today. Two men running through the middle and yet they attempt the long diagonal pass to a slow Kane who can barely sprint.
When they're struggling, they need to secure that ball and release it. A big guy like him should be better at itJust think Alvarez was more the striker that would have fitted them better and he is playing second fiddle half the time.
There is but it involves Haaland dropping deep sometimes or having a little bit of on the ball ability.Surely there’s a happy medium between always and never?
If Spurs win this, it is hard to deny that we are in a title race.
Win on Wednesday and we are joint second with almost half the season to play.
2 goals for Grealish is a horrendous return this season
Haaland plays like a more clinical version of later years Lukaku.

Don’t care what anyone says but Haaland is a problem the way mancity want to play. His goals mean jackshit if city don’t win anything.
Mahrez can also come up with a piece of brillianceThat's exactly what he is. He could easily end up 'winning the game' today when Spurs inevitably Spurs it up, but it'll be because De Bruyne comes on and put the ball on a plate for him 5 yards out, or somebody wins a pen.

Haaland is either double marked and not dropping deep or he’s on some mad dash looking for his teammates to spam a through ball.
let’s not pretend City don’t find him, look at his goal record! If anybody needs to adjust its Haaland so I don’t get Gary’s point. It really looks as if Haaland simply can’t hold the ball up or play with his back to goal.
Casemiro scores that.
But we also don't want someone like Haaland when he doesn't score, a non entity on the pitchIn a way it's like the Ronaldo conundrum we had, albeit a guy at the top of his game, not well beyond it.
But it's also something we need to think about carefully when pursuing Kane.
Yes he dallies around in midfield and serves up some assists, but we don't need that, we've plenty back there, we need a pressing, pacey younger player who will still score. Hoping they have someone like that tapped up.
Draw best result for me. Tbh any result has its positiveI can't decide what result I want here. Are we looking down or up at this point?

I dunno, I’ve just seen he’s scored in one away game in England in the last 4 months. I know there’s a World Cup there but Leeds after the break is the only game he’s scored in since the game before our 6:3!More recently City have hardly opted to take advantage of his runs.
And I agree, he should look to get involved more deeply when it’s not coming his way, but the few times he gets played the ball with a defender on him and there’s movement around him, he tends to lay it off decently. It’s overstated that he can’t handle that responsibility at all.
I know no other way 99 overall playerWe're asking perfection these days. Someone who scores loads, but also does all the ugly work.

Pep has itDe Bruyne has by far the best chemistry with Haaland and he’s on the bench. Teams have it seems figured out how to cut Haaland’s supply off.
Which is why he has yet to win CL with City. He saves complication for there usually.
That’s the problem though. City became too one dimensional with KDB constantly firing balls into Haaland that they struggled to even have a cohesive attack never mind score goals v even the lower sides.De Bruyne has by far the best chemistry with Haaland and he’s on the bench. Since he got to City in fact he never won one at Bayern either. Barca he had some amazing players who performed his system to absolute perfection.I hear this a lot. Pep, overcomplication, and finals. It has picked up traction and every so often another person on Redcafe passes the sentiment on, but really, it's quite the opposite.
Prior to the CL final loss, his career finals record was as follows:
23 finals, 19 wins, 4 losses. It's an 82.6% in finals.

He’s got to do more. He’s really not busy enough
Are the two concepts totally exclusive, or can he win despite himself?I hear this a lot. Pep, overcomplication, and finals. It has picked up traction and every so often another person on Redcafe passes the sentiment on, but really, it's quite the opposite.

I prefer a City win and still keeping a distance from SpursI can't decide what result I want here. Are we looking down or up at this point?
ThisSpurs will lose more games so I'd rather Spurs win than City tonight. Would love to close the gap from them.
