Premier League Gameweek 2

How many preseason games did City have?

They played a few games against themselves behind closed doors apparently. Considering they have 2 very good 11's it's understandable.

Not many clubs can do this and make it worthwhile. They can.

Anyone cooing about Thiagos performance yesterday, please watch KDB tonight, that's how you run a game.
If only Pogba showed the desire that KDB does.
There's plenty of poster's on here that think Pogba is better than DeBruyne.

Foden, who was in the same problem as Greenwood with England squad, is starting and scoring, while we kept Greenwood on the bench for absolutely no reason.

Terrible from Ole honestly.

Especially when he ended up subbing in Greenwood at HT.

It was pointless.

The new trend on here seems to be saying how well coached other teams are than us. Everyone seems to be saying the same fecking thing. Whether people believe its true or not, some people on here are like a dog with a bone.

Patricio is a quality GK. Portugal have good goalies in him and Lyon's Lopes.

You have to admit City and Liverpool are well coached. That is why they are winning teams.

If he didn't come on when 0-1 down, the dweebs on here would be bitchin' about it, just like how he didn't start
What are you even arguing here? Did Ole want to give Greenwood more rest or not?

What are you arguing?
He's already said before the game he didn't want him to be called up for England because he wanted him to rest, so naturally would not start the first game and avoid playing if he didn't need too..

They also say Wolves are well coached who are getting completely outplayed.

Yep. We beat City 3 out of 4 times last season. People seem to think well coached is attacking patterns. As I said, dogs with a bone....

One of those wins was in the League cup tie which they got past us winning the first leg then won the final.

They also finished ahead of us in the league with 15 points gab and that was their worst season in the last 3 years.

One has to be delusional to think at the end they're not better coached or drilled than us.

Pep got this wrong. He shouldn't play this good then demand more players.

And how come these bunch of professional players are match fit?

So he gave him 70 minutes (or whenever he came on) extra to rest?

City is actually looking very nicely balanced. Wolves never looked like scoring.

City and Liverpool have better managers and more technical players than United...and they've been together for multiple years and preseasons..cannot be said for United.

Us beating City three out of four times. They won the one that mattered and it ended in a trophy.

League Cup single leg win over 2 PL derbies? Nah. Might have been a semi final but the league games are the most important ones.

I'd happily lose a league Cup semi final to them every year if it meant we win both league games against them.

Job not done yet but a great 45 minutes from us.

We look tactically different, much more direct in the oppo half. Fernandinho back in midfield makes us 10 times more solid. Things might change 2nd half but I think Fern, Rodri and KDB might be our go to midfield this season, lacks a little flair and maybe will lack a little possession but very good defensively and more direct. Certainly notable but it might just be down to the players unavailable.

City don’t have to run when they keep the ball so well.

also helps that wolves haven’t turned up at all, they look like they’ve turned up to lose from the first minute.

City and Liverpool surely a different class again this season and will be about 20 points ahead of 3rd. You would think City favourites for title as deeper squad and fixture list is brutal.

Amazing how bad City manage to be in Europe consideing their quality, had forgotten Sterling miss v Lyon till commentary reminded me

Didnt Ole beat Pep 3 out of the 4 occasions last season? Oh wait, it wasn't tiki taka football so doesnt count. My bad.

You're right, he's superior to Pep. Eventually he'll turn into SAF.

Someone said small dick football in the Palace match day thread, I find that a very apt description.

There were seasons when Liverpool beat us left and right, and we still won the League. Liverpool got that "we beat Top 4" trophy, though.

Playing exactly how they played in the 2 games they won last year. This is Wolves, only difference we've dealt with their counter attacks much better.
