It better be Foden for Sterling, goal aside he's been the worst player on the pitch
Except for penalties for Liverpool against Leeds.
It's the ricochet rule:
Premier League players will be allowed extra leeway when it comes to ricocheted handballs.
It is often impossible to avoid contact with the ball if it has deflected off the body of an opponent, team-mate, or even another part of the own player.
So a handball will not be awarded if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from their own head/body/foot or the head/body/foot of another player who is close/nearby.
a penalty is awarded for a foul in the box, goal scoring opportunity or not?Why should a penalty be awarded for an obvious non goalscoring opportunity
Yeah doing a bit more reading on that.
If you deliberately play the ball and it hits your hand it's ok but if it randomly bounces off you and then hits your arm which is in an unnatural position it's a pen.

That rule is a load of rubbish when it’s often a penalty now if an opposition player t**ts it at your arm from point blank range.
To have a degree of consistency in the crappy rules we sadly have in place now.
So then Sterling's should have been a pen. These refs really are all over the place.Yeah doing a bit more reading on that.

But not if it's deflected off someone else into your hand.
Yeah my comment of course was meant as a reminder of current rules, while your deliberations are well worth discussing.Take a pill and imagine with me for a second.
We rewrite the rules and a penalty is awarded if anywhere on the pitch a goalscoring opportunity is denied. Otherwise an indirect free kick at the spot of the infraction.
Foul on the last man outside the box? Instant penalty
Which precisely describes what happened with Sterling.
City on Amazon?
The game definitely does need more subjectivity about what is and isn’t a penalty.Take a pill and imagine with me for a second.

He's been good technically from day 1 but he's taken it up a level or two over the past two years. Ridiculously good both defensively and going forward. Easily the best full back in the world right now. Rolls Royce of a player, which is a weird thing to say about a full back.
Elite managers do that. What do we know?Who is nketiah and how is he starting ahead of lacazette and martinelli?
You may know him as Marlo Stanfield from The Wire.Who is nketiah and how is he starting ahead of lacazette and martinelli?

Oh, haven't heard that name in ages. Love The Wire. You may know him as Marlo Stanfield from The Wire.
Southamp simply can't get the ball back to mount any attacks, thats what separates a possession based team against a counter attacking one! When leading narrowly, it means you can see out games rather than backs against the wall i.e. Thursday night!
Well, yeah, obviously. City are capable of passing the ball to each other. One of their academy lads. Looks quite shit to be honest, I’ve only seen him a couple of Gomez though.Who is nketiah and how is he starting ahead of lacazette and martinelli?
Hopefully a key ingredient to more hilarity from our friends from Highbury.Who is nketiah and how is he starting ahead of lacazette and martinelli?
