Premier League Gameweek 14-16

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. City aren’t at the level they was last season. They can be beat by teams that put in the effort. I’ve got a guy at work that thinks they’ll win the CL and prem again. I don’t think they will.

I have been urging to wait before anointing Ange as an amazing manager but today has been brilliant by him in the 2nd half. Not sure why he didn't start Hoijberg though

This City team is genuinely horrid by their own standards.
Yep. We have no midfield, Alvarez isnt good enough in that Kdb role and we struggle defensively without Stones. Pep has also been absurd in his in-game management too often this season

They’re definite vulnerable City this season, more ponderous in phases of the game, allowing the opposition to settle and threaten. Don’t have the usual bailouts of Mahrez, Gundogan and even Cole Palmer for Pep to pull off the bench to turn it around for them either.

We found this out under Fergie, after three in a row it gets extremely difficult to keep winning and get that fourth, which is why no team has done it.

I am genuinely worried that Liverpool will win PL this year. City is vulnerable this year.

Dunno if Pep got cocky after the treble or what but a summer of intentionally weakening his team and squad when they didn’t need to do it certainly looks strange now.

Speaks quite poorly of the competitiveness of this league if neither of Liverpool or Arsenal can take advantage of this City side.

It was an extremely strange summer to lose all that experience and goals.

And yet they still gave us an absolute bollocking.
As bad as we were, they were still gifted the opening goal with the softest penalty you'll see all season. City have really had some pretty favourable decisions go in their favour this season which has covered up some pretty average performances at times.

But they’re the best team in the whole universe who are gonna break records left right and centre.

Amazed you haven't given Stones any minutes. Interesting how you set up v us on Wednesday as CM is our strongest department and I suspect we'll play all of Kamara-Luiz-Tielemans and McGinn drifting wide to try to shut down runs by Walker.

Will be a good tactical game if not high scoring.

Grealish making sure that slide to the camera is going to feature in all media promo stuff for the next few months

Horrendous from Bissouma. You can't do that this close to your box with Rodri breathing at your neck.

Shocking.

Not really. At this state of the last few seasons, they could have been worse at times. There was a reason we were 3 points or so off them after return leg of Manchester derby into the new year in the third week of January. Similarly, when we finished second under Ole, even in January we were 1or 2 points behind them into the new calendar year. Last season Conte Tottenham led them at Ettihad 2-0, then Spursy in second half and lost.

They had it in them just like Liverpool to go on a run later in the season. They're the team to beat for any title contenders.

Edit: 3-2

Expecting Haaland to miss another couple of sitters, City to concede in the 93rd minute and Pep to resign in the morning.

Grealish obviously read Sourness's column saying how he never scores or assists.
