Premier League - Gameweek 12

Its official. Stevie Coops out of a job. If only his name was Coopadicio. Knowing Leicester, they'll have someone choppered in there in no time. Craziest season in living mem.

Official Leicester statement: "Steve, Alan and Steve depart with our thanks." Absolutely brutal.

Edit: "Men’s first team training will be overseen by coach Ben Dawson, supported by coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes."
So that's that then. Ben, Danny, and Andy. No mention of Links or Vards or Willie Thorne

Oh well, it's good that Liverpool only equalled us rather than surpassed us the season Amorim joined. It's all downhill for them from here.

In the past we’d have struggled to come away with a win, here we got 3 points, all that matters. Another ‘Test’ Slot has passed so far.
What past, you total bullshitter? The outpouring of bitter tedium at that comeback is precisely BECAUSE that's your hateful M.O.

We hired the wrong Dutchman it seems. Slot impressive.

A new manager so fully expecting Rashford to become R9 for a bit.

What are waffling on about in capitals for? Always one that read things as a dig for some mad reason. It’s just a reply to previous performances where Klopp has struggled to teams I.e Luton last season for example and not come away with 3 points, here Slot reacted and we won that’s the difference.

Yanited to win the league with Rashford as Golden Boot ?!

It's Klopps team. Even ETH would have not fecked that up
Not saying Slot is the one, too soon for that. But damned if you do, damned if you don’t

He wins -> Klopp did it
He loses -> See he is a fraud

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the fecking Cheech Wizard hypothesis. In a nutshell. And what's this: "I.e Luton"? Nearly spat the protein powder out of my puff packet when I read that. You, that shower you support, are notoriously and historically despised for CAPITAL LETTERS EXACTLY the kind of spineless reversal you boringly "achieved" this afternoon. No shite about Klopp occasionally failing in that regard will CAPITAL LETTERS EVER rid your fixtures of that stink.

Ipswich have done ok here. United seem happy to sit in and counter with their quick attackers.

Just the normal narrative when your rival succeeds or fails.. Slot is probably the best Dutch coach in the last 20 years, and i am saying this as an Ajax supporter.

Amorim is going to need time to work with this squad. United still have issues to work out.

Hasn't this style been the case under every manager bar Van Gaal?
Probably. United have struggled with their identity post Fergie.

Ipswich are a tidy side. Might go down still but they’re better than Leicester and Southampton.

Seeing our current struggles whilst watching Porro, Delap, Rogers, Douglas Luiz and Palmer become the players they have is quite depressing. Add to that Brahim Diaz too just a little earlier, we really need to ask questions about not giving players a chance.

Edit: forgot Frimpong.

One thing I (grudgingly) admire City under Pep for is not hoarding players or stalling their careers once they valuation is met.

I watched the second half and the only decent chances I saw fell to Ipswich.
I think United had some square pegs in round holes today. Dalot at LWB, Garnacho as an AM and Rashford up top stood out.

Garnacho might struggle in a 3-4-3.

Not sure why you'd think that. Their manager seems particularly good.

As for Amorim he's just as likely to be buried in the Old Trafford graveyard as much as all the other elite managers that have had the job since Fergie.

Because that's just how it is. I give them this season. After that, it's time to live in Amorim's shadow.
