Premier League - Gameweek 12

Konate bundles attacker over from behind without touching the ball
"Just a coming together"

They'll drop points in some of their upcoming away games, think they have Newcastle on a Wednesday night and then Goodison the following Saturday lunchtime so that's a tricky few days for them.

They're in good shape currently but I really don't think this is a 90-95 point team. It wasn't last season despite this forum being scared to death of them for 3/4 of the season.
They don't need to be.

What has happened to Walker-Peters? Used to think of him as decent but don't think I've seen him make a single good decision today.

Yep, I don't see how they are going to replicate their first half of the season form over to the second. Even the season they won the title, their form dipped after February.

It's even more likely that City or Arsenal will kick into gears come January and we're still yet to see how Slot reacts to a bad spell.

That lumbering oaf Konate again. How the feck does he get away with it.

Some of you loves to hurt yourselves. Watching Liverpool has got to be a clear sign of enjoying pain. Just accept that this is their year and that they will win it

Konate doesn't actually defend a whole lot. He just goes through the back of people. That one wasn't a penalty but he just kinda pushes and barges instead of actually making a play in the ball.

It's unfathomable the extent to which Liv luck their way through a season, some of these jammy events/decisions are worth in excess of 10-15 to them every season.
They keep the pressure up like City did in the last 4 years and get their rewards. For 10 mins Southampton barely touched the ball it is exhausting and mistakes happen as a result of that

I hate that fecking cnut. I can't wait until he fuggs off into the sunset.
Even at 2-1 it was just nailed on they'd win

We all thought this'd be a comfy win, so it really feels more irritating how close it was and they've still won it.
Watching some of Southampton's attempts to play out from the back is painful though - how on earth did they score 2 earlier.

Always get one when they struggle.. this is now the Coote effect..
When we have a ref target us they fix the problem by letting him do our next 4 games in a row accompanied by a letter telling us it’s what we get for complaining.

Hate the whole “fraternity”

I haven't seen the match, but it's 26-6 in shots. Doesn't sound like an even match, at least not statistically.

They've obviously been by far the better side in general play, but the freakish luck of every single one of their goals has been something else.

I have seen Pool getting results, but they almost never look good getting them. They need some refereeing and luck to go in their favour virtually all the time it seems. In the end the points matter, but they look meh overall.

The narrative around Liverpool on here is just as pathetic as that on Rawk during Fergie. "Lucky" "Refs favour them" "teams don't try against them"

They win tight games because their mentality is spot on, not always playing well or convincingly but they keep going, putting pressure on and forcing mistakes, Amorin needs to find a way to instill that in Utd.

Konate would be such a liability playing for us. Refs would be all over him.

They don't need to be.

Yes that is far but I would say if you need 85 points to win the league this season then I wouldn't rule Arsenal out of contention at all. They could easily have a very strong run in the second half of the season.

It was the same last season. But this time they have a better manager who isnt going to throw it away like Klopp did. Plus City and Arsenal aren't that great this season. Its over already.

I’m sure it’s not the case at all, but it feels like they win every game by a single goal and it’s infuriating…especially when the only other result I remember is the 0-3 at OT

I still don't think Liverpool are all they're cracked up to be, luckily for them everyone else is complete shite so they're still getting great results.
