Premier League - Gameweek 12

What if Fergie is the anomaly in United’s history. This incredible winning period that you’ll never really get “back” to.
Very disrespectful to Busby when you look at what he won and factor in how he had to rebuild the club from scratch after losing so many players.

What do United fans consider as “back”? Post Fergie you’re yet to challenge for the title, let alone win it. Is it just to be a side that is more regular at the top end of the table, without necessarily winning it every year?

Do you think United can ever get back to the side that wins three in a row and competes for trebles? Is that even realistic considering the amount of money in the league now?
Talking about anomaly, Fergie was definitely one, so is Pep - winning so many titles in the row is anomaly at any competitive league. And I hope this never happens again in the Premier League.

Fed up of Dyche now. When you watch us it's clear that we do absolutely no training in terms of attacking patterns of play. Absolutely shite ourselves when we get 30 yards within the opposition goal.

His style of play will wear down the fanbase eventually. I'm guessing there might be a reluctance to sack him due to a fear that another manager could turn those draws into losses as you don't have enough goals in the squad. The flip side to that is Burnley waited too long to sack him and it cost them.

Bruno is actually a player we could sell and improve on. In the last 2-3 years some of our best football has come when he’s not playing.
This is a factually incorrect statement. 99% of times when Bruno is out, we look horrendous and lose with a whimper.

Back is Liverpool under Klopp 2018-2024 realistically.

How are some people on here still persisting with that narrative? We've seen enough Bruno-less games now to know for sure that we're far worse without him. Talk about sticking your head in the sand.

Great performance by Tottenham, best performance of any team I've seen this season. If City can't score creating that many chances, they aren't gonna do anything this season at all.

We're hilarious. Ange might be the most Spurs manager ever and this team might be the most Spurs team ever. Lose to bottom, beat the champions 4-0. Play our way no matter what and sometimes it'll be fun and other times it'll be tear your hair out shit. You can't be too angry with it as a Spurs fan because it's preferable to bad results but also boring performances we've had under Jose, Conte and even Pochettino towards the end. At least this way we're exciting, currently the top scorers in the league. The inevitable draw or loss to Fulham or Bournemouth will be extra annoying though.

That being said, City are a shadow of their former selves. We've beaten them a lot over recent years but usually involving a lot of luck, a lot of counter attacking and prime Son/Kane being insanely clinical. Gaps all over the pitch yesterday, their midfield was a fraction as dominant/scary as it has been in recent years, Walker is absolutely finished and the likes of Savinho and Doku are never replacing Mahrez. With KDB crocked (he was great when he came on) you're relying on Haaland and only Haaland to score.

Worrying times for City fans I guess. Or as worrying as it can get when you've hoovered up every league trophy for years. That squad needs a full rebuild.

Konate gets away with so much. The amount if friendly calls or non calls Pool gets is impressive. And it's become routine. We get people sent off for kicking a ball away.

Weird. I thought "patterns of play" was a term exclusive to us United fans when we're moaning.

Slots Feyenoord was so much more fun than Slots Liverpool.

And how is Konate complaining about that yellow

Was so ridiculous you actually kinda have to admire the audacity about protesting against one of the most blatant pushes you're likely to see

How do you think the current Feyenoord will get on against City in Tuesday, they must fancy their chances of getting the win given City's current form.

Ive seen this thing alot recently from rivals, is this your guys new coping method? Pretending that Fergie was an anomaly, to help cope with the fact that united will be back one day? Its really weird. Do united not have any money or structure to come back? When fergie left the club just dissolved?

IF City somewhat turn up they will annihilate us. half our squad is injured and we've been very hit and miss this season.

Managers who have won more than 1 title for Liverpool and united: paisley, shankley, dalglish, tom watson. Fergie, busby, magnall. 3 vs 4? What a crazy difference

I can see why Soton keeps playing it out from the back. They are so good at it.

Stupid Sky, missed the goal because they have a habit of showing a replay of a scuffed chance, they know the keepers play out quick these days and anything can happen. Save your replays for when the balls completely out of play.

That was coming. Suicidal playing out from the back time and time again from Soton, criminal.

Liverpool were never going to drop points today. But they've probably installed themselves as favourites for the title and it'll be interesting to see how they fare as season progresses.
