Premier League - Gameweek 12

What a joke of a league. A team that cost less than the clown who scored trying to play out from the back.

Stupid Sky, missed the goal because they have a habit of showing a replay of a scuffed chance, they know the keepers play out quick these days and anything can happen. Save your replays for when the balls completely out of play.

Sadly it’s a thing with all these game directors and just makes me want to punch them through the screen. Insisting on showing some worthless replay and missing the action. Incredibly frustrating. See it in the PL, LaLiga and CL.

Why do teams like Southampton insist on playing like City against far superior teams when they know they will get pumped. Why not play a Mourinho style against better teams.

Not just Sky. Viaplay in NL did the exact same thing.

How are some people on here still persisting with that narrative? We've seen enough Bruno-less games now to know for sure that we're far worse without him. Talk about sticking your head in the sand.

People want it to be true so hold deeply to stuff like league cup games against teams reserves as evidence of the phenomenon.

Same old shit were certain players get pre selected as the problem that is holding the team back that we have seen time and again.

Interesting Jonathan Wilson article in today’s Observer. He mentions Southamptons manager Russell Martin knows his squad aren’t especially good enough, yet persists in trying to play attractive football.

That goal is insane. How does the keeper decides to roll the ball out to a player facing his own goal surounded by 4 Liverpool players??
Even with that the panicked hack by the CB is proper amateur stuff, wasn't even under heavy pressure and had his LB free.

Nothing wrong in playing from the back while you have players who bloody know when to not do it. This was on players, not even manager.

It's a miracle. Penalty against Liverpool.

Edit. I think it's outside the box.

My suspicion is it's coaches trying to show their teams can play a certain way in order to bag a job at a better club, to the detriment of their current one. There's no chance Martin believes the biggest chance of staying up is playing a way that gifts the opposition a goal half of the games they play in. Laughable.

Robertson has become such a liability. Downfall is sad to see.

At some point these clubs who face relegation need to tell their managers to stop trying to be Pep. First Burnley got relegated from Kompany’s stubbornness and now it looks like Southampton will be relegated because their manager insists on being a dickhead
