They were just checking if Saudi money had arrived or not before making the correct decision
The way things are going, this sort of statement reads less like a conspiracy theory each week. Anyone know how good Sir Whatshisface is at bribes?

It's very hard to tell from that angle if it was out. The ball being a sphere means it can look further over the line than it actually is.

I think that's offside though.
It’s another United had go against them. Sometimes they guess sometimes they won’t.

Aha you’re being sarcastic, but there’s a fair amount of people here who deem it definitely out because they can see a tiny bit of grass between the line and where the ball is in contact with the ground.
They're probably the same people who play Minecraft football.

For me its the two armed push that is so obvious. Gabriel looked to defend that easy. Corrupt.

I thought VAR was brought in for "clear and obvious errors"?

At what point did it start refereeing the entire match? feck off with it, worst thing to happen to football since Antony.

Does anyone find it a bit coincidental that these VAR decisions seem to be benefitting these state owned teams more often than not ?

Fully aware of that FFS, it still looks out, why is goal line tech only for the space between the posts, surely that would be a piss easy thing to fix that would have no need for interpretation.
Because the goalposts are fixed so it's easy to put sensor on them

All the time referees are going on all expenses paid trips to referee in Saudi league, there will be questions asked and rightly so.

VAR is a joke, get it gone ffs. Ruined the game.

Mental it took that long to award a goal, then they want to add more time, when this causes huge delays as well. Like some moron suits who never played the game have made decisions to "improve the product offering to our consumers"

It's out. You have to be blind not to see it.
If you think that's conclusive you either don't know the rules of football or don't know a ball is round or both.

Correct decision to award the goal.
Some of the ball crossed some of the line, but that is irrelevant.
ALL of the ball MUST cross ALL of the line.
It didn't.
There wasn't a push in the back at the far post.
The goalscorer did not have two of the defensive team between him and the goal line, BUT, he was behind the ball when last played.
Don't like VAR, but they got this one right.

Puzzled how the attacker has both arms extended into the opponent's upper back, which appears to be likely impeding the opponent, but its deemed no foul.

Not really, my conspiracy is it is really, really rigged and dodgy. Cup draws, VAR, FFP, basically money buys you exception to the rules.

The whole of the ball has to be beyond the line. The dogshit implementation of technology means they're relying on angles like that which is completely inconclusive.
If they don't have any other angle then shouldn't this be enough to rule it out?
