Premier League Gameweek 11

The year is 2029, and after extensive analysis VAR have ruled it a goal.

Tbh I would rather we get more wrong answers than have to wait so long.

The tech is good but overall VAR is so shite.

They were just checking if Saudi money had arrived or not before making the correct decision

The fact it's "theoretically" dangerous is unimportant - it was absolutely reckless and should have been a red. The ref had decided immediately it was a yellow though, he started running there with the yellow already in hand.
I agree with you

That has to be offside surely?

Gordon is ahead of Raya so only Gabriel is playing him on, needs to be 2 Arsenal players playing him on?

So rashford against Brighton was out of bounds but for this one they deem the ball to be inside the field while the the ball looked much more outside than Rashford’s ???

No other team is allowed to be this physical, they are getting refereed by a different set of rules.

I feel like I’m watching a completely different sport, United would have had 3 players sent off by now if they played like Newcastle.

No way on earth does that goal get kept on for United for either.

That's such a dubious goal, ball was out, was definitely a foul.

Forget the actual legality of the goal, just watching Arsenal players cry was worth it

Chris Waddle (ex NUFC player) in radio

'There's no way that this is a goal'. I think there will be a VAR check on this because a lot of things happened throughout that move.
There were pushes, the ball looked like it may have gone out of play from Murphy's shot, then the challenge into the back of White from Joelinton almost on the goal line.”

VAR… absolutely fine

VAR, please just die. How was the ball not out?

It's very hard to tell from that angle if it was out. The ball being a sphere means it can look further over the line than it actually is.

I think that's offside but I'd been to see the frame where they decided it wasn't.

They should just check offside with VAR. I think VAR needs to stop checking anything else. The moment VAR gets involved with subjective decision like this, it gets irritating

Balls around round and the whole of it has to be behind the line. The angle they had means they can't prove anything, which makes you wonder why they bother with it.

Fully aware of that FFS, it still looks out, why is goal line tech only for the space between the posts, surely that would be a piss easy thing to fix that would have no need for interpretation.
