Premier League Gameweek 10

The usual Leeds could go either way match.

You suspect if Everton score first they'll win this by 2 or 3.

The term "good football" gets attributed to pretty much any team who win a lot of games and score a good amount of goals, like Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea, but to me that "good football" always boils down to individual quality. I always found City to be a perfect example of the difference between good football and attacking football, they score an unbelievable amount of goals but they were so well drilled and ruthlessly efficient that they scored basically the same goal every game for 3 years, to some people that might constitute good football and I get that but it's not something I find particularly enjoyable to watch, it was methodical, surgical even but entirely predictable.

In my opinion, Leeds actually play good football, the unpredictability in the way they attack and their chance creation vs the quality at their disposal is really admirable, I can't stand Leeds but I'd watch any game with them involved because it's guarateed to be an exciting watch. They obviously have their own tactics and patterns far too intricate for me to ever pick up on but their attacks just seem so varied and well put together. I can see why Biesla's one of the most admired coaches in world football. I don't really know how to articulate what I'm saying but it makes sense in my head.

Gosh Leeds are so good to watch! Never mind results or anything. Just for the pure joy of good, attacking football. I'm hoping Manchester can get fans back in for our game against them, seeing as they're reviewing on Dec 16.

I get yer buddy.

Leeds stick to their principles whoever they're playing and it's refreshing to watch. A few teams will have a run of beating a couple of mid table teams and then suddenly revert to 10 behind the ball if they play Man. City or Liverpool, Leeds don't.

Just good work on the training ground and total confidence from the players in what Bielsa wants.

Imagine this Leeds team if they had better players

Great post. Leeds have been involved in good to great games this season probably more than any other team in Europe.

That's a definite penalty if Utd were attacking. Or Liverpool were defending against any team.

Good post. City football is pretty good and pleasing to eyes(atleast on many occasions). After that I will say Leeds amd Southampton football are really good to watch. This is why I always had a soft corner for Arsenal under Wenger. They were damm good to watch. Yes not perfect but very good to watch for a neutral.

Yes because United are the boss. Now wait for your game against us where Maguire will chockslam salah and rashford will dive and get a penalty and you can continue to cry with klopp.

They are so unlucky tbh

they hit the post 4 or 5 times last week against Arsenal now they’re at it again. If they had some good finishers they’d be a top 6 team.

This would be 100% against the grain though judging by the last couple of months.

Doucore is a terrible football player.

The more you watch him the more you realise he is the stereotypical description you hear about someone of his size. He’s able to bully people easily but I’ve been severely disappointed with his passing ability so far. Some games he’s okay and others he is dreadful.

One of the other few teams I think fall into this category are Brighton. He's not exactly a rookie but I think Graham Potter has the makings of a great manager. I'd love to see what he could do with more resources at his disposal as every time I watch Brighton they seem to carve teams open for fun and seem to always be the better team, might just be confirmation bias on my part, their lack of a quality finisher really hurts them though.

Leeds are very impressive. Biesla must be a really good coach to have them playing like that consistently with largely average players.

If you think his passing is dreadful just watch him miss from 5 yards consistently.
He is a deep lying playmaker and while his long range passing isn’t the best on form he is a great player to build attacks from. I wouldn’t say he is anywhere close to world class but he is a decent player. Perhaps the system doesn’t suit him. The diamond is generally a pretty terrible system to play in.

Thin line though as we've seen with Sheffield United this year, 12 months back their level wasn't far off this.

I do think Bielsa would feel it's job done if he guides them to mid table and leave at end of the year and that would give Leeds huge decision to make given his style as it would leave massive void.

A very entertaining game so far. Alsom Iwobi is a terrible terrible football player. Just awful.

Seems like every team is thinking leeds is there for taking and full on attacking mode. That is giving leeds good space for passes. When we meet them we should play counter. Their attackers are not so good, nothing to worry much. Attract them near and hit them.
