Premier League Gameweek 10

What the heck have Sheff Utd got to do with anything?!

Wilder called Klopp selfish for complaining about the schedule I think.

I can’t 100% deny it but I’m pretty sure he didn’t call Klopp out.

Here guys, these are the full quotes :

"He’s a world-class manager and a world-class politician, who cares about Liverpool," he said. "That’s all he cares about.

"He was never going to say what about Sheffield United getting their fans back in or Newcastle or Man City or Man United or anybody else. He’s a world-class politician.

"I know his background on support and how much Anfield has been a fortress. The Liverpool support is magnificent, I know it is because my old man is from that part of the world.

"I know he’s been vocal on that and Jurgen isn’t going to say it’s not right that they can have fans in as they’re in tier two and Sheffield United, Leeds, Manchester and all the rest of the north are not allowed in.

"It was funny looking at that map, wasn’t it? Shock! I think us in the north were fully expecting us to be in the old tier three as they kindly put us in."

"Cards on the table, he’s going to look after his own club," said the Blades boss. "I’ve got incredible respect for these top managers because they produce top results and win things.

"But they’re selfish, they look after their own clubs. They’re not going to be bothered about Sheffield United, they’re not going to be bothered about England.

"They’re going to be bothered about Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea, which I understand and respect. I would be the same, but I’m bothered about Sheffield United and it doesn’t help us to have five subs."

No they didn't.

They had 2 goals marginally disallowed by VAR.
They had Salah firing just wide a couple of times.
Most of the possession etc.
1. Does the number of offside goals and possession somehow make you a better team?
2. Liverpool (offside goals aside) had 2 good chances - Salah early on and Jota goal.
3. Brighton had Conolly missing 1on1, and good chance from Trossard, Welbeck shot, free kick
4. Brighton had 2 penalties which is more than Liverpool point 2 in terms of "good chances"

Yes, Brighton should've won this game.

I don’t think he’s having a dig there at all. Just stating that managers will be selfish to help their own team. Klopp just came across as a child having a paddy today.

Don't think Wilder said much wrong. Klopp is selfish as he said any of the managers of the top clubs are, any manager is, they think about the team they are managing first. Nothing wrong with that. Maybe Klopp did not understand the context.

Here guys, these are the full quotes :
A tad xenophobic. If Wilder knows anything about Klopp is that he cares deeply about England and its relationship with Europe on a number of things, not just football

look at that overlap, thats the sort of thing we haven't had in years.

Didn't watch the game, but see there appears to be a lot of Liverpool tears.
Think the truth of the matter is once it all settles down is there was 90 mins to win the game and we didn’t. I’d mainly put that down to the extensive injury list as I think even with 2 or so players back we could have fielded a much stronger side. It’s up to us to win it and make sure there’s no discussion. We just don’t have the players fit enough to do it game in game out at the moment and so things like today where VAR is involved happens. The weaker the team the more chance it’s a tighter game.

It’s going to be a long season that’s for sure, not looking forward to having to watch neco Williams play for the next couple weeks that’s for sure!

I’m sure he’s talking about the national team no?

Can Burnley just forfeit next season's Etihad fixture if they're still in the Prem? A 3 nil walkover is better than 5 consecutive 5 nil defeats (might yet get worse today). Citeh might be back on top of GD charts after today and Fulham next weekend. What a way to buid up to Old Trafford.

Unfortunately covid has made it that all the competitions are being squeezed in, no winter break, then there are even more internationals then the summer it is The Euros. I can understand why the top clubs want the five subs, the smaller clubs are not having to contend with CL which is stretching squads even further. They say about rotating, but the clubs have lost a lot of money, which makes results even more paramount.

Ancelotti looked pretty emotional there, understandably.

Leeds create so many chances, their games are always great entertainment

Meslier's going to be a top class goalkeeper, he's already pretty good.

It's such a joy watching Leeds play. Good ball retention. Pacy counter attack. Good passing in tight spaces.
