Premier League Fixtures 16th - 23rd

City have easy games in the short run but tbf so do we. After the next three, they actually have quite a hard run.

Hopefully we can get six from our next two and then the pressure is on them imo.

Weird seeing Liverpool in 4th, even if only by 2/3 points.
Is it weird? Not long since they were scraping 4th two years on the trot and failing to finish that high before that. Hardly like they’re currently in a 20 year dynasty never out the top 3.

In fact if they finished 4th after winning their sole league title for 30 years I’d call it normal service resumed.

City could and probably will be top before we even play our next game.

That table and those league positions are very deceptive. As it stands, there's 5 points between 1st and 6th. 8 points between 1st and 9th! With a good run of 3 or 4 games, anybody can leapfrog anybody. With a bad run, anybody can slide further down. It's crazy.

On the bright side, at least we haven't got to cheer for City anymore. Always felt dirty doing so.

Come on Palace!

Yeah, most likely. Although Villa haven't played since the 8th January so will be well rested, that's going to be a very tough game for City.

Honestly, the next month of football is so condensed that it's yet another war of attritition and we'll see plenty of teams dropping points. It's also worth pointing out that teams that are a few games behind are going to have problems with scheduling in the near future too. It benefits those teams short term but will ultimately feck them long term.

Gündogan is having quite the season for City, isn't he?
Played himself into being maybe their most important player in this current run of form. Just makes them much more direct than they were in the earlier stages of the season.

Our schedule is not so scary either
We've got Fulham and then Sheffield. At least we can win those too. After that we go to Arsenal, and it's high time we won against them too, plus our record against top teams is awful it has to end sometimes, otherwise we can't really consider ourselves contenders. But City is definitely team to beat now

Just few weeks ago Spurs and Liverpool were leading the table and their match was considered the one to decide who will dominate the top.

Now they're both 4th and 5th. Crazy league man.

Everton win their game in hand, theyre 5th.
Their league position is finally reflecting their performances
Villa are mid table but games in hand
Such a shame they had the covid issues as I think that will affect them with the game pile up

The annoying thing about city is they aren't conceding many goals

That cb partnership is going strong and complimenting each other well

And they never get injured

Thats got a short shelf life though. They need Sterling and Aguero back on form to run this league out
The defensive and clean sheets are the important bit. They always looked like conceding before these two got together

Think they have enough up front to blitz lower teams

I dunno, they arent blitzing small teams now. Maybe thats the tradeoff but their calender gets stupidly busy now and theyll need goalscorers to get them out of jail when the quality and workrate suffers.

Our games that are rearranged against Villa and City will probably come at a time when both are bang in form ffs.

Roy Hodgson strongly disagrees with you right now.
