Premier League Festive Season

Just seen the City score.. absolute garbage from Leicester, pathetic showing from them. Stupid Rodgers trying to be a smart arse midweek with that team and it backfired. Their fans must be losing patience with this clown right now.
Aye this post aged like milk. Guess Rodgers cared more about the more meaningful game

Ah yes, the PL, the bestest league in the whole wide world that is so competitive.....unless you're owned by a state club and effectively win the league by December.
Are you complaining? It's better for us currently.

Guardiola has set such a high standard since coming to England that a defeat/performance like that feels like a hammer blow. The Premier League would be the Bundesliga without Klopp's Liverpool but it looks like City will run away with their fourth title in five seasons.

I'm not sure we have the resources to get another proper title challenge out of this squad. Klopp can only do so much.

Milner and Keita as subs was like waving a white flag.

Steady on, you're closer to Chelsea than you are to City.

Very good result for Leicester.

Title "race" becomes even less of a race.

Looking at the major European leagues, only Serie A still got something that can be called a title race. In Spain, Germany, France and now also England, the title race is too 99% over.

Eh? Bundesliga, La liga and ligue 1 all have bigger gaps at the top. Serie A has a 4 point gap too.

Ligue 1 and Bundesliga were both over before gameweek 1.

Nah, just pointing out that the PL is a 1 horse league like the bundesliga and ligue 1. Sure you might get the odd surprise like Lille, Liverpool but on the whole, it's pretty obvious who will win the league.

It's always a tall order to keep with a team that can rattle off 10 consecutive wins in their sleep. We've had 1 loss and 3-4 draws in a 2 month period and it's felt like we were in a full blown crisis because we were losing ground so quickly to a team that just kept on winning and winning.

Guardiola is making the PL look like farmers's league.

He is gonna win 4 titles in five years.

True. Those winning runs are something they've picked up under Guardiola. Feels like they win 15 on the spin every year. It doesn't help that they have 100 million to go and throw at a squad player like Grealish.
