Premier league boxing day fixtures

And it all tightens up again. Great day for United so far and can only get better now. 0-0 draw with about 10 red cards please.

fecking Stoke and West Ham, but decent set of results for us. If the next match could be a draw, then it's an absolutely mint boxing day for us. Arse play Newcastle, Chelsea play Liverpool, Everton play Southamption and Citeh play Swansea away. Favourable results in these fixtures mean we'll be 6 points off the top and 3 points off 4th place. Miracle considering our start

Come on United.

"What a fantastic goal, an absolute worldy from Dwight Gayle - definitely one to watch on Match of the Day later."
Nice. Will do well to better Rooney's from earlier so we should have a few goals to watch tonight.

I know people don't much like him - and I can understand why - but if Pulis keeps that side up then it's an amazing achievement, regardless of the style of football he has to play to make it happen. I still think they're going to struggle in the second half of the season if they don't improve the squad in January, but they've given themselves a real chance that didn't look possible a couple of months back.

If you don't have good players - or the resources to buy some - Pulis is probably one of the better managers you can get in.

We have character oozing from every pore.

We were immense as an attacking force today but just could not stick away the chances.

Then we see the value of the finishing of Podolski and Walcott. Top, top class.

Buzzing.

if we are 5 off the top on New Year...we will go on to retain the title.

Everton and Spurs drop points, good news.

Newcastle though, they need to be brought back down to Earth. Hopefully Arsenal beat them.

Everton lose and Tottenham draw. Good for us. We'll probably be 5 pts away from 4th spot after the City and Liverpool game.

Not bothered by Newcastle, they're not a threat. They were losing 0-1 to Stoke before Stoke went down to 9 men.

Spurs and Eveton results were good for us.

You've got a better team than both of them.

I know this'll tempt fate, but you won't be seeing the top sides lose at home to Sunderland. It's the kind of result Everton have to iron out and overcome, and it's where having world class players is so vital.

Everton were fecked from the minute Howard tried that retarded pass and then pulled down Kie (sp?). One nil down and down to ten men for most of the game would be tough for anyone.

BT Sport were showing West Ham vs Arsenal?!?! A 3pm kick off?!?

Is this just because it was boxing day?

 You were lucky not to be 3 goals down at one point before they decided to give up.

Character? I thought you were extremely lucky. West ham's energy seemed to completely throw arsenals game off. Once you got a goal, they seemed to lose belief completely. They're a terrible side really, were awful against us too.

Well that's the point really. No top side would do something quite so stupid.

It would be tough for anyone, but it's not impossible to score against the bottom side with ten men. Happy for Sunderland though who deserved some luck.

thats just a one game ban right?
I doubt it. I know the automatic three for a straight red is gone but isn't it at least a two game ban?

Wasn't it Leon Osman's fault for exposing Howard ?

I thought it was a really poor pass to a player covered. No need to take the risk. Osman fecked up too but I'd put the blame with Howard.

(I only seen one replay of it.)
