Premier league boxing day fixtures

You can't compare yourselves of this season to us of last season. We pissed on the rest of the league. People aren't even sure if you'll properly challenge.

Having said that, given the way Chelsea are playing right now, they must be a bit weary of the game against Liverpool. Chelsea are playing poorly despite winning, whereas Liverpool look at the top of their game.

Oh come on. Not even trying with that. Did you rule yourself out of the title race last year when you lost to Fulham?

:lol:It was a cheap shot. I'd been praising Liverpool's performance too much and defending Suarez and had to try and claim back some top red credibility.

When they sat around planning the show, was this really the best they could come up with? Wrapping someone in wrapping papers, putting them in the boot of a car and then seeing how many people you can fit in the car.

Me too, didn't expect such a good performance. If they were more lucky, including the referee decisions, they could have won the game. Still, I expect Chelsea to beat them, too. They have improved a lot though.

Chelsea haven't impressed me. They should be able get a point out of them.

Good performance from Liverpool.Could easily have taken a point, maybe should!!! Arsenal showed some balls but Chelsea are not firing at all.Overall a good day for us.Spurs are there for the taking on NYD and Norwich I think will provide us with the bigger test over the next week.I am worried about this fixture.

I love this season, so much banter on here, with different teams being top every week. Shame we dont have any City fans to make it even more interesting!

Was hoping Suarez would get sent off today but it wasnt to be, so I now hope the travelling will tire Liveprool for our game.

I dont think we'll lose, but im not confident we'll win, draw wouldnt be horrific, but we are due a win against Liverpool as we havent beaten them since 2010.

We actually played pretty well today but same old story the strikers not firing, if they were we would be well away.

That long since you beat em?? Wow!! I think you'll take Liverpool 2-0.You'll raise your game big time for them and you'll need to.

Man City's second goal today has to be among the worst ever conceded from a defensive point of view in a game between two decent teams.

Literally all except one Liverpool player on the pitch should have done something to prevent that goal from happening.

In fact, the defending in a lot of the games was fecking bizarre. It was as if no one could be bothered to concentrate.

In the league yes, we beat them 2-1 in the FA cup final 2 seasons ago though.

As good as Liverpool have played this season, my take on them so far is that, their forward control and flair is covering their defensive frailities. Not exactly poor in defense, but their is pattern where they start the game on bang, get couple of goals but lose concentration later on and the defense panicks a bit when pressured. 29-7 goalwise in first half and 14-14 in second half shows that the intensity of their game tapers as the game progresses.
