Premier League 14/1/25 - 20/1/25

Arteta acts like a total twat and nothing is ever done to him by officials, Emery gets booked for kicking the ball on the pitch

I think Arsenal's entire identity right now is about pumping the ball in the box from set pieces. Just get on with it.

Maybe the set pieces coach asks them to delay so he can get on the telly.
I asked you a question and you answered with dumb shit. Thank you.

He litteraly got booked in this game.

It's becoming ridiculous how much time Arsenal are allowed take over set pieces. Like Odegaard moaning an out Cash standing like 1 yard in front of the line. It's not like he's looking to shoot or in the way of the line of the crossing arc at all.
If you’re not ten, you’re not ten (stupid… just giving them something to moan at the ref for) but generally, yes, they take far too long over corners and FKs. I’d quite happily have a time limit and if not taken, lose it or the ref gives them 30 seconds then books taker.

That was probably about the 2nd time Villa have spent as much as half a minute in Arsenal's third.
I get wanting to keep it tight against difficult opposition away from home, but you need a plan to relieve the pressure and get out.

Tbf Arsenal are very good off the ball. Box teams in really well and squeeze the opposition.

Whoever wins it at the end of the season deserves it. People keep writing off Arsenal but despite the current injuries and their extremely poor form, they're still staying in touch at the top.
Still staying in touch is a bit of exaggeration. Liverpool will win their game in hand to move seven clear and they have Arsenal at home and they haven't lost to Arsenal in Anfield for over a decade.

Missed that tbh, I remember the bollocks from a recent match of him "meditating" and how it's helped his touchline behavior. It really hasn't.

Edit: Just seen he has two bookings already this year, maybe he is finally getting what he deserves.

They need more pace on. The three behind Watkins hardly scream "kill on the counter."

Arsenal's shithousery and delaying the likes of throw ins and corners makes them my most disliked team. Fans so entitled too for a club that has won feck all noteworthy for years.

They're basically Atletico Madrid with a shit manager

Lewis-Skelly is the surprising one. Nwaneri has been a well known gem for many years now, but I doubt many outside of Arsenal fans knew anything about Lewis-Skelly. It does show that however young academy kids are, a they shouldn’t take a backseat to more experienced players just because they’re older and they cost shitloads. Acheampong is a good example of this. He’s already better than Tosin, Disasi and Badiashile and has shown this when given the chance. I wish more managers would realise being a teenager doesn’t mean you only get 10 min cameos every 2 months or 2 year loan spells. Some of them are ready now.

Acheampong is another great example...but although their base level is very high, they need patience and protection after they inevitably have a couple of bad games too.

definitely wasn't expecting Villa to respond in this manner given how they'd played up to the point of going down 2 nil

Feels like a blow if they don’t win. Home form has kept them in touching distance of us.
At the 90th minute of your match, they could have gone just 2 behind today and as things stand, they might be 6 behind having played that game more. Things change quickly! That being said, still think they'll win today.

In touch of what exactly? Finishing 2nd again..
Four points isn’t much even with our game in hand. All it takes is another draw for us and win for them and it’s two.

Dropping points on a day we win late like that will feel like a blow.
