Premier League 12/2/25 - 16/2/25

the only difference between the ruled out goal for chelsea and the 1st goal conceded against palace is that veltman threw himself to the floor and yoro didn't. go figure.

That’s crazy - assume it was adjudged as different phase but surely he’s interfering?

that looked offside from Welbeck

Defender has to clear the ball because Welbeck is behind him and Welbeck then picks the ball up anyway off the keeper. Feels like one that should have been given as offside but I suspect the rules say that the defender playing the ball creates a new phase.

In a way their fans celebrating a goal is a bit of a distraction from them booing their ex-players. That is one club you don't get a nice welcome on your return.

I don't know the rules (Who does?) but I'm assuming since the defender made a clearance and the keeper made a save, the phase of play has been "completed" and Welbeck is fine then.

Amuses me they say Oliver is on VAR duty tonight. He didn't deem the late Everton goal a foul even though that was arguably more of a push on Konate than what Enzo did.

Anyway Chelsea are really going to miss Jackson up to April. Got no one else they can really hit the ball beyond the backline for forward to run onto unless they try Neto as a false 9.

Sancho, you couldn't ask for a worse player when you're in a situation like this. He has no interest in digging deep etc.

Grateful that Chelsea took him off our hands. I was very surprised they wanted him in the first place!

Lot of Utd fans on here were way too quick to praise Maresca as a success.

Don't forget there was a point when ETH looked a great appointment here, a lot of managers start well. Chelsea are really struggling at the minute.

I don't understand why refs rarely dish out 2 yellow cards if there are 2 separate fouls in the same sequence
Agreed. They really should. The Gusto challenge was a scissor tackle above ankle height. Luckily, he got no serious contact on Mitoma.

I wasn’t even looking forward to this game. Just seen the score. Sigh.

That's kinda the opposite of what a false 9 is supposed to be doing though.
