Premier League 01/02/25 - 03/02/25

So defenders can clip an attacker who’s running towards goal in the box now without consequences? That’s… interesting. He literally goes down because of the contact hence takes away a goal scoring opportunity.

I know you guys hate Liverpool but the comments on that sequence in here are really something else. One Arsenal fan and even he says it’s a stonewaller.
You cannot possibly believe any other team gets that penalty

At what point do the rest of the league say enough is enough about the blatant cheating Liverpool are getting away with every single week? Would strike action be appropriate? Something has to be done about it.
It won't happen unless managers start speaking about it.

Thing is we've seen challenges with more contact not given as penalties this season. Again it's inconsistencies that are the problem.

Refs just do whatever they feel like on the day
Well that just proves the inconsistency of VAR’s use, doesn’t mean this wasn’t one.

Of course teams are good enough to catch them but the match officials are probably going to do their best to ensure that doesnt happen.
They really aren't.

I remember saying early on in the season before they were top that they would be favourites soon due their forward power. I got laughed at at the time but here we are.

Bournemouth have started this half well, which means they'll miss 3 or 4 chances before Liverpool get a deflection for their 2nd

Yup and if the ref doesn't give this then zero chance VAR give it
Its the clear and obvious mandate where var falls down, in England at least.
If there's any ambiguity they'll stick with the on field decision, no matter how obvious wrong it is.
Plus they don't want to upset their mates fragile ego.

If you believe that you’re a nutter imo and I wish you a good rest of your weekend. There is no conspiracy.
Tell me why other teams don't get such decisions their way? Why is it Liverpool consistently getting decisions their way?

Liverpool are by far the best team in the league this season and they will win the league. This is absolutely true but it's frustrating to see games being ruined by soft penalties.

A "Redcafe goes into meltdown thread" would be fantastic for the caf's self awareness score.

No no, that’s not how this works. You tell me which decisions we got in our favour that were blatantly wrong, or calls that our rivals got against them that were blatantly wrong.

I know I’ve already got a nice list of decisions against us in previous years which ACTUALLY were 100% wrong and had an impact on the title race. Were was the conspiracy back then? Just not fully up and running or do they decide on another team each season?

It’s amazing. I know it’s only the most rabid and incohesive ones in here cursing about Liverpool, but still some reasonings are a sight to behold.
