But you are right there aren't that many great striker duo's out there.
The best I can recall is the Brazilian triple R's during the WC, Rivaldo-Ronaldo-Ronaldino. I know it is not a duo, but it was three different attackers, who really played well together and complimented each other.

I was never a fan of Kluivert. I always thought he was a big ego player, who got too ratty when things were going against him and didn't put in 100%. I never had any questions about his ability. I've watched him a few times this season and he's really impressed me by his commitment for barcelona. against inter (I think it was) he made a huge effort and put in a savage amount of work. Of course there was also his 50 yard run to get involved in a niggly incident that had nothing to do with him. But after seeing his commitment along with the undoubted talents that he has, i've changed my opinion of him and would be delighted if he sign for us.
Can be a very good player on his day, others can be a touch average. I really wanted him when were first there for him but since he turned us down Iv lost interest, i wont complain either way.

Kluivert is a very complete player and whatever is said about him,he has what it counts..goals.I dont consider him as the first choice strike partner to Ruud as there are others who can offer more but if bought he might become the ideal striking partner.

Out of all the strikers we've been linked with, IMO PK is most likely to succeed. Having played at the top level for years, and been with some of the best clubs, I think if he was to join us, he would hardly need adapting at all. As many has said, him and Ruud would be perfect. As for what he was reportedly has said, I wouldn't believe too much in to what was in the press. I like players like to Ronaldinho. But for Ronny, who is still quite young and hasn't been through much, his thoughts will mainly be on where he will play and what he will earn 3-4 years from now. Whatever club he will be with next will be more of a stepping stone. It's not difficult to imagine him with Real or Barca a few years from now. So to me, I think PK would be more suitable for us than other targets.

Theoretically, a Kluivert - RVN partnership should be phenomenal. However, when they've played together they haven't quite set the heather alight (Holland's failure to qualify for the WC can be partially put at their door). Perhaps they need more than a small handful of games together before they really 'click.'
Can't say too much but i was there when gaz hacket asked him if he would come to United.
