The players have to be injured or ill within the rules you cannot deliberately put out a weakend side ? And because they got a game west ham have on Thursday they'd decided to rest or pull against CITY not the game before Thursday? This has to be investigated by the FA . It stinks that all 4 were ill ?

What about players on the bench? They're not injured or ill. What about players simply being dropped? Who deems what players should play if they are fit if not the manager?

The 4 players were supposed bad ??? Did not feature? Same 4 played on Sunday same 4 will play on Thursday! Very underhanded. And they've even said they targeted the game ? So basically didn't try v City. Any other club there would be an Inquiry? .. same 4 players they must have been living In same house

Think this take is unfair. They are exhausted. Played more games this season than any other team in the league, plus a world cup. Confidence is also low I think. We actually played well until we conceded then didn't have the energy to respond.

Nah, I'm not having it. Casemiro has had long suspensions. Eriksen had a long injury and practically no World Cup. De Gea is a goalkeeper. Lindelöf, Wan-Bissaka and Malacia haven't played that much. It might be true for Bruno and Rashford, but the rest of the line-up can't use that excuse.

Arsenal continue to play the same players over and over, but they didn't have any issues with intensity at a very hostile St. James Park. To me it just looked like we choked yesterday. No ideas, slow, sloppy, etc.

We had chances at goal, just couldn't convert them. That's not on the manager. Whatever tactics EtH set out, they worked well enough to get us in scoring position on 4 or 5 occasions in the first half. With a bit more accuracy, we're winning that one by three or more goals. Earlier in the season, we would turn up only in the second half. EtH seems to have gone the other way, trying to get us up early, with the hopes of holding on for dear life in the second half. The problem is, our players are fatigued, it shows in their passing, shooting, and decision making.

In this game, if Antony had finished either of the shots he dragged wide, or if Martial had won his 1v1 with the keeper, the game is on its head and West Ham isn't getting back into it. It's small margins at the top, but I don't think the house is on fire.

We need more players like Martinez. The rest of the players are soft as feck and give up when things go against them.

This a thousand times. Can't be bothered to see Shaw never commit on a challenge, or Bissaka go forward with no intention of attacking whatsoever.

We need players that are determined to win.

This season, Arsenal have played 49 matches, we've played 65. Our players are not getting enough recovery time.
Bruno and Rashford are our playmaker and our only finisher, so if those two are knackered, it's far more impactful on the results than the lower minutes on the backup players.

Again, look at Arsenal's schedule - no Carabao cup, no FA cup - lots more rest between games. I take your point - Casemiro and Eriksen have been off it. Lindelof and AWB have been some of our better players recently.

This is spot on. People are chomping at the bit to kick the players when they're down, but truth be told they've done well in a marathon season. We know that mentality is an issue in that squad, but I don't think it was a factor in the Brighton or West Ham games.

I didn't say they were bad. I said that players get dropped, rested etc all the time. We'd do similar when we're playing certain opposition. Saying they "threw the match" is a massive stretch.

Did you read the post? They were supposed to be ill !! That's why they missed the City match, and then fit for Utd match ?? They weren't dropped wernt rested otherwise West ham could get in the shit for it? So they were apparently ill, get it now???

The 3.9 average player rating here is a bit harsh. We threw three points away, and the flogging rightfully begins with De Howler, but we controlled the game in the first half but just couldn't fukking finish on any chances. And then we drifted away, but West Ham never broke us down and dismantled the back line. Moyes got this one right -- sit back, take whatever potshots they could, and then sit back again and watch United enter the last third but bolt the door shut.

Watching Southampton .
How is their football slicker and faster then ours ?

And much higher energy and determination.

Commentators said supposedly ETH says Martial is the most gifted finisher in the squad.... we are all doomed, he couldn't finish a petit filous

DeGea costing us big matches, would rather have a solid 7 keeper than one who is a 10 one match and a 1 the next

Cannot wait for the season to be over and get some players back, some new in and some shite out

I don't get the optimism that this team will be raring to go again after a week's rest. We had a full week to prepare after the international break for Newcastle, look how that panned out.

can't believe it's taken The Sun three whole days to re-link us with Declan Rice...

I dont believe a word he or any one says in public. could be for variety of reasons. The fact is we dont have a finisher in the squad.
My 4 year old just learned "glory glory" on his piano and he wanted to see some goals of his new favorite team. So I showed him few highlights from 1995 to 2010. & it hit me hard, we had some GREAT finishers in our team. Martial is closest we got, for all his improved performance Rashford is more like Nani in terms off finishing chances. so who else we got?
No one.

ETH's statement might have nothing to do with what he wants in his team, but that's all he's got. No point in dissecting his comment.
