Par for the course under LvG, we have the odd patch here and there where we string 3 performances together and then it's back to dog shit. The red card was ridiculous from Mata but it wasn't the reason we lost, we move from midfield to attack like a fecking snail and it meant West Brom were able to maintain their defensive shape easily.

The goal we conceded was on Blind and Carrick, the two of them were like statues in there and somehow missed the big Mongolian warrior looking motherfecker in acres of space getting a free shot in our box.

Mata's nonchalant reaction to getting sent off and Memphis laughing after his play park throw in sums up the mentality issue IMO, too many that are just content to be here, we needed some anger and fire on there today, I saw none.

This is where the game was lost from the first minute. Instead of keeping the ball on the floor, they kept lumping the ball forward for Mata and co..
Carrick avoiding all creative responsibilities and constantly slowing down play, forced the defenders to go direct like them..

After the game against Watford it did feel like this game wouldn't go well for you. Odd subs though. Rashford should have probably been taken off earlier and weird to take off Herrera. Harsh on Varela too. Does confirm though that the patch of good results doesn't mean much, LVG still isn't the right man for the job.

Utter crap. Sure, losing when reduced to 10 isn't shocking, but doing so without any fight is just unforgivable. For the first 10 minutes of the second half the commentator rightly pointed out that you couldn't tell we were down to 10, but for the rest of the match you couldn't tell we were 1-0 down either. Absolutely no urgency, no strategy and no quality.

Our game plan seemed to be just keep possession at the back where keeping possession was easy because West Brom were winning and were happy for us to have. Then at some random point just pump it forward vaguely in the direction to an increasingly isolated Martial and hope that the ball falls near to Martial or Lingaard, then hope that they can do the rest themselves. Pathetic.

And I'm not listening to anyone that uses the sending off as an excuse, because if the roles were reversed just imagine how nervy we would have looked in those last 10-15 minutes. I'm not at all confident that, if we had the man advantage and were winning 1-0 we would see the match out. It would be a nice change if for once we could lose a match throwing everything at getting a goal, rather than just hoping that the game-plan that hasn't worked (AT ALL) for the past 80 minutes would suddenly reap rewards.

tl;dr: crap, awful, unforgivable.
