Carabao Cup to be renamed to "The Lingard Show"

Enjoyable game and job done.

Now to resume the important work starting from Saturday.

I would like to see this formation with our starting 11. I like that we press high with 3 at the back.

You enjoyed that?

We were awful man, so many bad passes in the final half. I havent enjoyed a United game for about a month. Since CSKA I think.

Professional performance. Lingard took his goals very well. Tuanzebe is ready for PL games, he is very strong and he looks like a complete CB.

Swansea are extremely poor but Utd tonight had a bit more attitude, need to step it up ten fold against Spurs!

Good performance. 352 surely the way to go. Wasn’t perfect. Poor passing choices, poor intensity but overall a pretty good performance in 3rd gear. Controlled it mostly and Darmian I thought was MOTM. Lindelof 2nd half did seem to start to resemble someone who had played as a CB before. Think he is honestly just devoid of any confidence right now.

Mourinho has not forgotten Saturday. He will only smile when we back top of the league or are lifting the Champions League.

Good performance. Tuanzebe>lindelof. Front 3 all did well, lingard class but he has those in him once in a while. Feel bad for romero for not playing more but such is the life as 2nd keeper behind the best in the world.

Would like to see more of rashford and martial together to be honest. Rashford looked subdued today, martial showed his excellent dribbling again but both should be starting every week ahead of miki and mata.

Don't cha wish your back up keeper was Rom-er-o

well done Tuanzebe - cool and strong

credit to Lingers with the two great finishes

yet again my biggest observation is the way we play after we score the second goal - it's clear one of our main issues is a mental one - when we score that second goal we play with a real freedom and had we went for it we could have scored another couple

Nice, tidy, easy win. We didn't sweat too much, some players got rested. Tuanzebe looks like a prospect. Lindelof still needs time. Lingard has been great.

Now to the negatives: Matić and Lukaku will be dead tired on Saturday. We didn't do a Chamberlain.

Job done. Lingard with two fine finishes. Herrera, Darmian, McTominay decent. Tuanzebe looking great.

Lindelof had a dodgy first half, but didn't embarrass himself at all in the second half so we'll take that as progress.

Very comfortable game. We were in complete control from start to finish. Key players rested, we sti won and no injuries. I'll happily take that.

Two very good goals by Lingard. Tuanzebe is a proper talent. His 2nd half performance was pure class. Which makes you wonder why we even bought Lindelof, when we have a far better talent in our team already ?
